He now joins the exclusive club with Jason Tyner, Al Newman, and Tom Kelly. To think he just missed an inside the parker over a 1000 plate appearances ago. And he took just a few more than Alex Cole did before his first, and he ended up jacking four of those for the Twins in '94 with another in '95. Still pretty cool and shocking to see that along the bottom line moments before Beltre and Soria gave us the game.

April 1st was a long time ago.

Wait a minute, you're not joking are you?

I would have to believe that this event will somehow be incorporated into the Alien Intervention philosophy/scenario. I do believe it happened, but there had to be some kind of unnatural/extraterrestrial assistance.

Yeah, and Grizzly Adams had a beard.

Deep inside the forest is a door into another land,

Here is our life and home,

We are staying, here forever in the beauty of this place all alone,

We keep on hoping...

Maybe, there's a world where we won't have to run, and

Maybe, there's a time we'll call our own,

Living free in harmony and majesty,

Take me home,

Take me home.

Strangely I felt a shiver go down my spine when I watched that. I think I'm going to chalk that up to Bark's aliens instead of sentimentality though.

Off a lefty, to boot! Boone Logan has secured a place in baseball history as the answer to a graduate level trivia question somewhere in the distant future.

Two hurricanes in one week?

Damn, Brian. What did Philadelphia ever do to you?

LOL... Yup... Right up the Deleware Bay and River and over the wall.

The prediction is based on... Grooves... Players get into grooves and for the moment his swing un-slapped for some reason... He sent one deep and Chances are... he could still be in that place with his swing and therefore another will follow.

Eventually... His swing will go back to Ben like but I believe this is why Power can come in bunches and leave in bunches.

Ben hit 28 home runs in high school. I still theorize that the Twins wouldn't have drafted him in the first round if he wasn't knocking the ball around and out of the park in Kentucky. There are a lot of fast guys with no arm they can take in the 8th round. There just has to be some pop somewhere.

I also assume that Ben was probably encouraged (even taught) to be more of a slap guy to utilize his speed in the minors.

I don't think he's a ten homer guy but...

The occasional deep ball and more doubles in the gap isn't out of the question for future Ben.

For this week... I'm thinking another one.

Ha ha.. Yeah he crushed it! Like 6 to 8 rows back in right center.

One row in, per the reports I read. Hit a guy in the first row that was standing at shoulder height, though, so it could even have made a second row in.

"When I got to second base, I didn't know what to do," said Revere.

Didn't know Revere was 16 years old.
