Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 A bit disappointing to not see Hughes take the mound in the seventh.

Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Wow. When was the last time Mauer got picked off a base Not sure, but he didn't get picked off today...yet.
kdrupp09 Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Now Burton on.....say what you will.
kdrupp09 Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Breslow pitching for Boston, it is a Twins double reunion today.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Mostly picked off? Miracle Max: Whoo-hoo-hoo, look who knows so much. It just so happens that your friend here is only MOSTLY picked off. There's a big difference between mostly picked off and all picked off. Mostly picked off is slightly on base. With all picked off, well, with all picked off there's usually only one thing you can do. Inigo Montoya: What's that? Miracle Max: Ask the manager if you can have his spot in the lineup.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I really thought Burton might be done after his April. Looks like the Twins were right to keep him and let him work through his issues.

kdrupp09 Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Colabello is starting to fall apart, I know this is another thread but he is sent down soon?
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Colabello is starting to fall apart, I know this is another thread but he is sent down soon? I don't think they'll have much of a choice, particularly with Parmelee on the 25 man.

Two bad outings and you're sunk...it'll take you 10 good outings to make up for it.

Yeah, but Burton wasn't doing anything right. In April, he walked eight guys and struck out four. He had several outings that didn't tag him with earned runs but he was pretty miserable overall.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Yeah. And he also seems to have a nice mane! Not glorious but very nice!I was thinking "get a hair cut, but what do I know?"
kdrupp09 Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I don't think they'll have much of a choice, particularly with Parmelee on the 25 man. Particularly as Arcia/Willingham/Fuld start to get healthy. Arcia and Willingham both are going to get games as DH, so I think that Cola is a roster squeeze to make room.

He's only allowed 1 run since.... so, that's a pretty solid turnaround.

What kinda of music do they play? (Surely not swing...) On another note, it seems like it might be useful character to be able to type... a backwards K. Is there already a way of doing it? Or if i do i get to figure it out for myself (if i decide i care)
James Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I guess I haven't been paying enough attention, but it seems Mauer has gotten his ba back above .300. Good to see.
