That pitch was in Plouffe's wheelhouse.

Very nice work. You are lucky that she does not inventory the freezer on a daily basis.

So... ChiTown wants to know how your date went.

Will the Twins be under or over .500 for May ?

Yes.

I really think the Green Light is fine since Plouffe has demonstrated legit home run ability. You put the stop sign up for lighter hitters. 3 hitter... Let him rock.

Plouffe just screwed up huge by swinging at crap. And swinging at Crap has been his primary problem the past few years. This April he's avoided that and the results have been wonderful.

Why was he swinging at crap the past few years... My guess... He was trying to do too much... Just like he tried to do... In that last at bat.

I'd never give Plouffe the green light in that situation. Pitcher just walked Mauer on 4 pitches, most likely on purpose to get to Plouffe, but still, it's 3-0. He hasn't got a hit all night, take a strike! I really can't stand him.

Ugh, you can hear the rubes jeering Mauer. All he did was get two hits and a walk today. But fail to hit a game winning HR in the 9th? Nuh-uh. BOOOOOO

nitpic: I think it was a different pitcher that walked Mauer.

How can anybody not love baseball?

One moment... Two paths to take... Both can be strongly argued by smart people.

Solid game by Escobar. Instead of panicking about the SS position, I think the Twins should just let Escobar play more and see how he does.

After tonight... I'd certainly start him tomorrow... Wait.. It's a doubleheader... He's gonna get a start tomorrow.

That at bat was exactly what he needed last time... It's all in the approach... Not trying to do too much. Don't swing at or Foul off the crap.

Its the "yes" part... That makes this post above average.

Note to self... Some clever joke can be made about what age one should aver... that being the aver-age... Stick in back pocket. One never knows when it might come in handy...

Plouffe has been a consistently good hitter this year. He had the count advantage and went for it. He failed. It happens. I thought it was the right move, but Plouffe needed to be relatively sure he could get good wood on the ball and he didn't.

Gooooaaaaaaaallll!

Anyway, mix in Escobar, adjust the rota...

...And Pedro loses even his last backer in Twins Territory...(or, I could be mistaken, maybe Riverbrian is still willing to go down with the good ship P-Flo?).

Plouffe swinging at 3-0 with the bases juiced with two outs down by 4 runs with the teamleader in RBI up next was an extrordinary poor decision

I am 100 percent behind Pedro Florimon... Although... I benched him a couple of weeks ago.

I'll be back to supporting him if he can hit around .200

.115 and two extra bases is too light for a light hitter.

He's pulling everything... If ever a player needed to go with the pitch... It's Pedro... Right now.
