Now that's thinkin' ahead!

On the other hand, if they were out of Butterfingers, an excuse to return to see if they're back in stock isn't a bad thing.

My current guilty pleasure is simpler... Cheetos and Mountain Dew. (Which long ago, i dubbed Ambrosia and Nectar) Just gotta remember to clean up the orange dust...

Whats the old Joke...

Guy: Doc... I woke up this morning and my (blank) is orange.

Doc: That's odd... Have you been eating anything unusual?

Guy: Nothing unusual... Ummm... Let's see... I had Cheetos before I went to bed.

BTW, Why the heck does he always send Tonkin in to throw fastballs down the middle with guys on base? The guy has allowed 5 out of 9 inherited runners to score. Let Gibson finish the damn inning. I'm done with this game. Gardy's managed another loss.

I thought we liked Tonkin.

Florimon would have made that play look routine..

Possibly.

It would have kept the score 5-0.

Plouffe needs to be more patient at the plate. There was no reason to get itchy for a hit.

Exactly right... You let the game come to you at the plate... In the field... You come to the game... At the plate you gotta let it come to you.

My wife just asked me to take the garbage out. Just to keep everything normal... I told her... "After the game".

Speaking of Escobar's hitting, he's done a really good job today, but he needs to be smarter on the base paths.. Don't drive it into the wall, then get gunned out at 3rd base..

I agree with two outs... But... I like the "going for it mentality" on the base paths. Errors of enthusiasm are tolerable to me.

Except at the plate.

Bert: "Bad decision by Plouffe swinging at that pitch." Bad decision by the Twins to give him the green light. Add to the bad decision to let Fuld hit against the left-hander. Add it up and it's another crappy game managed by Gardy in the late innings. I'm getting pretty tired of this BS.

How can Gardy-Andy can be so uptight about handing out walks but then on the hitting side he gives guys the green light on 3-0

LOL... Mrs Kravitz across the alley is gonna think I'm up to something with all my trips to the dumpster.

This is just a guess, but I think it's because the Twins have shown great patience at the plate this year and he trusted Plouffe to use good judgement in that situation. If it's down the middle and Plouffe puts it in the seats, Gardy looks good. Plouffe just made a really poor decision.

I really think the Green Light is fine since Plouffe has demonstrated legit home run ability. You put the stop sign up for lighter hitters. 3 hitter... Let him rock.

Plouffe just screwed up huge by swinging at crap. And swinging at Crap has been his primary problem the past few years. This April he's avoided that and the results have been wonderful.

Why was he swinging at crap the past few years... My guess... He was trying to do too much... Just like he tried to do... In that last at bat.

That pitch was in Plouffe's wheelhouse.

They were out of Butterscotch... I had to get Chocolate... I walked in the door and my wife was doing dishes in the kitchen. I couldn't get to the freezer.

Had to stick them under my shirt as I walked past. They were cold and they made me look kinda boxey around the middle.

Her cell phone was downstairs so I called it. When she went downstairs I put them in the freezer.

When she came back up and asked why I called her... I said "oops musta butt dialed... I'm sorry".

Ladies and Gentlemen... Thats how how you stay married for 24 years.

Very nice work. You are lucky that she does not inventory the freezer on a daily basis.

I mean, it boils down to odds. Even when Plouffe gets "his pitch" its still only got a ~.200 BABIP.

Versus his OBP when getting to 3-0, which is .962.

You're down 4. You're the tying run. Colabello and Pinto are hitting behind you. Take the dang walk.
