Non story.

Not a big deal, I remember when people were freaking out about Kaepernick wearing a Dolphins hat or something.

He is wearing the hat for the style/color/look, not to support the Dodgers or whatever. I could see people getting a bit upset if he was wearing a White Sox or Tigers hat, but the Twins and Dodgers aren't exactly rivals (unless you are still upset about 1965) which I am sure Chief is as game 7 ruined his 40th birthday party that day ;)

He played for the Dodgers; just because he has to play against them as a Twin doesn't mean he's not going to do all he can to beat them. I'll worry when he wears a Dodgers hat on the mound at a Twins game.

I'm sure he was just trying to avoid being bombarded with autograph requests by throwing off his droves of fans.

Yeah no kidding.

"Now do you want my autograph? Do you !"

to the 7 or 8 people that recognized him.

If he wanted to blend in, he would have worn a damn Wild hat.

Why the hell would you wear another team's hat, in public, and right before a series against them? I'm not sure i care for this at all.

Right before a series against the Dodgers? Flat out wrong, if you ask me; I'm not gonna make excuses for that (and I'm one who does not get angry when our free agents sign with the Tigers or White Sox).

Classic!! Thanks for a deep down laugh roar!

The way he's pitched this season I'd prefer that.

I'm not much for unwritten rules. Free agency changed everything, Yankees and Red Sox players are allowed to be civil to each other and attend the same broadway musicals together.

Still, there does seem to be a bit of a slap in the face when you take a $48 million dollar paycheck from one team while advertising for another. Pretty sure Nike would see Tiger Woods in court if he started sporting a Ping cap.

Still, with that paycheck he shouldn't be wearing a baseball cap. Are tophats out these days?

No idea why this is a big deal.
I agree it's not a big deal. Still and all, it's in pretty poor taste to attend a local sporting event donning the gear of your previous team.

Knew it.

He is also a California native, guessing the Dodgers are his team (and style choice) from childhood.

Still, poor taste. If he was a rookie, he might be excused given the prices of merchandise at pro sporting events, but for a $49 million man, just buy a damn Wild hat.

For the record, my birthday is in February. It was my 40th wedding anniversary they ruined.
