Tibs Verified Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 That was seriously ugly, Mr. Herrmann. Brutal. And of course scored a hit, even though it hit in the middle of the glove. It should have been caught, but there's no way that can be considered an ordinary effort to catch that ball.

Herrmann overran the ball- he went into a slide going forward to slow himself down, then he had to reach a little behind him. If he just controls his speed that's not a hard catch at all. He made it a lot harder.

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Hey, that was so ugly it knocked the server offline for a while.

big dog Verified Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Thanks to Toronto for allowing the starter to stay in and face Cola. That double was a rocket.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Is it deliberately? NO. Its Deduno. Let's go.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 You know what they say. When you're never around the zone, you get the borderline calls.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Dozier is above the Mendoza Line. I guess the kid is good after all.
afurry91 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Nunez with the gold glove out there at 3rd.
Trevor0333 Provisional Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I wish I could stop being so offended by the Pelfrey signing & just handing him a rotation spot over Deduno. The better this offense looks it's even more frustrating watching Pelfrey & Florimon.

Trevor0333 Provisional Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I would even prefer Kris Johnson at this point

Willihammer Provisional Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Lawrie really takes charge out there.
Twins Twerp Provisional Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Things that are slower than pelfrey pitching out of the stretch...GO!
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Dozier now has 5 HR and 4 SB.
afurry91 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Bottom of the lineup in innings 8 and 9. not looking good.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Things that are slower than pelfrey pitching out of the stretch...GO! I think you mean things that are faster than Pelfrey pitching out of the stretch. To that I would say, Twinsdaily service during peak usage is faster than Pelfrey pitching out of the stretch.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Kubel gave it a ride, but alas, a two out double goes for naught. Oh well.

Willihammer Provisional Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Bottom of the lineup in innings 8 and 9. not looking good. Plouffe on the bench? Or did someone say he got hurt in game 1?
afurry91 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Plouffe on the bench? Or did someone say he got hurt in game 1? Ya, I would pinch hit Plouffe in there at some point. Probably for nunez.

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Bottom of the lineup in innings 8 and 9. not looking good. That's kinda the point. If any spots in the lineup are gonna be bad, it's those spots. You seriously shouldn't expect much from a team this bad.
