Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Gardy's way of letting everyone know he's back. Who else would take their number four and five hitter out of the lineup and replace them with guys they sent to the minors less than two weeks ago?You can't let those two guys on the bench get stale.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 I don't think we need to replace a bad OF with a mediocre one, when we have already yanked one. Nunez will be up to be that guy in just a bit.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Surprise ending. Hail Hydra!!!
Gibby Provisional Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Hilarious. this looks like t-ball.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 That's how you end this game!!!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Since Mastro ran for Kubel (winning run in the bottom of the seventh), Gardy put Herrmann in for Colabello (Mastro in right, Herrmann in left) as a defensive replacement. That left only Escobar on a three-man bench,
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Perk must have had his coffee. Yup. To recall the movie quote stuff from 2 threads ago... (and the only line i remember from the movie...) "Coffee is for closers."
mikeee Provisional Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Perfect finish to some royal's ball.. The baserunner is out for tripping up Suzuki.
kydoty Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Even funnier is that had Diaz not called batter interference, it would've been a fair ball anyway and he would've been thrown out for not running out the play.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 My Broom is all dirty... I'll use it anyway. Sweep Sweep

jokin Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Nunez will be up to be that guy in just a bit. Which "that guy" do you mean? Bad, Mediocre or Yanked?
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Even funnier is that had Diaz not called batter interference, it would've been a fair ball anyway and he would've been thrown out for not running out the play.Ha...I was screaming at the TV "pick up the ball, Perk, pick up the ball and throw him out!"
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Looking at that play again ... that was really heads up running by Dozier and could be the difference (hope it's the difference) between a tie and winning the game.Shocking! Shocking, that you would praise the blue-eyed charmer with the sometimes-flowing locks.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I think you meant: "cleanly-played dual pitchers' duel."And then I accidentally clicked reply before I could finish. And then the edit button vanished! Yeah, that's the ticket! http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/iyp9fh-u4w8/hqdefault.jpg

twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Pretty sure we already beat the royals as many times as we did all of last year.

Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Nice win! Good pitching and great comeback. Not much for hitting but we'll take all the gifts they want to give.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Well, that was certainly an entertaining game-ender. Oh wait ... is this entertainment or sports?
