As a kid, I remember looking at batting average as the key to the value of a player. OK, not every player, as I was a Harmon Killebrew fan, and he never really hit for average. Time To Shake Up that Underperforming Lineup?

The current lineup isn't working and hasn't worked for awhile. It's great that Farmer is back but Farmer isn't likely to provide the lineup spark we need. He was 0 for his last 11 with 8 strikeouts before he got hurt. If you look at the lineup/26 man roster realistically, who can be that spark? The only possible answer I see is Gordon - 6 for his last 20 with 2 HRs. Solano can't play defense anywhere on the field so he doesn't have much value if Buxton is the DH. The Minnesota Twins are off to a similar start to their 2023 season, as their 2022 season. Through 29 games this year, the Twins are 17-12 whereas last year they were 18-11. The pitching for the 2023 staff is much better than it was last year. A rotation of Lopez, Gray, Mahle, Ryan, and Maeda, is far better than Ryan, Gray, Bundy, Archer, and Paddack. A Successful April

The Twins concluded the first month of the 2023 regular season with a 17-12 record. They stand 3.5 games ahead of Cleveland in the mediocre AL Central Division. What was projected to be a tough April schedule ended up being very manageable. The Twins came away victorious tonight 3-2 vs. the Chicago White Sox in their first home night game of the 2023 season. The win came on an error on what was supposed to just be a sacrifice bunt by Michael A. Taylor. Simulated Game 6 -- Twins 3 Marlins 0. Twins Record 4-2. Twins Deal Marlins 3-0 Loss Minnesota and Miami duked it out and the Twins came out victorious.
