  1. The Minnesota Twins injuries have been at awful times this year. Sure every team deals with injuries, it's baseball. But we are in the dog days right now and Joe Ryan, Byron Buxton, and Carlos Correa are nowhere to be found. Correa was put on the 10-day IL on July 21, which was 43 days ago. 11 days ago Buxton was eligible to start a rehab stint in St. Paul but apparently "He wasn't ready." The fans deserve way better communication on these injuries because if they are out until October I am done watching this team.
  2. Tyler O'neill is hitting the trade block and with a few injuries to outfielders right now would it make sense for the Twins to snag him?
  3. Its May 9th, we are in first, correa is struggling, he will figure it out, we still havent found our offensive identity, calm down it is not time to panic. Pitching can carry us for a bit while the offense figures it out.
  4. Lewis is not returning for awhile, Farmer is not an every day starter.
  5. Its not that they suck they would be a good depth piece on any team. We just have that depth to be able to trade away for pitching
  6. Matt Wallner will not be traded for a mid closer especially when we have Jax Duran and Lopez. That is a terrible trade for the twins. I wouldnt mid seeing Pagan leave though.
  7. Miranda has crazy potential and has been bad this year, but he will stay in the MLB. THere is no good reason to send him back down besides confidence. At this point all he needs is more MLB reps.
  8. Larnach has not been lookign great recently and Kepler has been solid lately, but still not the best seasons so far for either. Will we see a trade or a roster move involving one of them shortly? Especially with Kiriloff ready to go.
  9. I have a feeling Rocco was trying to wake up Correa a little bit with that, or at least I hope....
  10. We need to transition Maeda into the pen and make Ober the 5th starter, he has looked good and Maeda seems o be struggling with stamina. Rocco needs to start making the tough decisions. We also need to figure out how to break Correas slump. Whether that is movign him down in the lineup or what i dont even know, something needs to happen.
  11. It is a great problem to have, I would rather have more depth pieces than not enough, and you might be right CF is probably reserved for Taylor and Buck, but with how things have been going, I dont see Buck playing CF for a long time. Id say a trade could be coming in the near future.
  12. I believe that with Polanco back and Buxton heating up, and as long as Gallo, Larnach, and Miranda can keep it up then we can get 90+. Carlos Correa is Carlos Correa, he is going to come back and break out of his slump. We just need to be able to hold onto this offense until he does.
  13. The Minnesota Twins are off to a similar start to their 2023 season, as their 2022 season. Through 29 games this year, the Twins are 17-12 whereas last year they were 18-11. The pitching for the 2023 staff is much better than it was last year. A rotation of Lopez, Gray, Mahle, Ryan, and Maeda, is far better than Ryan, Gray, Bundy, Archer, and Paddack. So much better in fact, that our opening-day starter last year is now the 4th pitcher in the rotation. This comes off the backs of the 2022 trade deadline acquisition Tyler Mahle, the offseason trade acquisition Pablo Lopez, and coming back from Tommy John, Kenta Maeda. The question is however, is the Twins offense substantial enough to win 85+ games? In the Pablo Lopez trade, the Minnesota Twins lost their best hitter in 2022, Luis Arraez. While it hurt to see him leave because he was a fan favorite, it was a good move for the Minnesota Twins. Luis Arraez won the AL batting title by slashing a .316 avg with .795 ops. While he was one of the best hitters in the league, we got an ace in return. Pablo Lopez has been a part of this Twins pitching rotation which has been the best we have seen in a long time. With a hole in the lineup, the Twins focus has to be on the offense. Adding Joey Gallo, Donovan Solano, Kyle Farmer, and Michael A. Taylor in the offseason made it clear the Twins were targeting depth. Now it is the end of April and we have seen many ups and downs in the offense. A very slow start to the year offensively for key players such as Carlos Correa and Jose Miranda. Buxton went through a slump for a few games but has been lights out since an opposite-field double against the Nationals. Jose Miranda slapped two home runs in the blowout game against the Yankees where we went down 11-2 early. Since returning from injury Jorge Polanco has been one of the best hitters in the league. Besides the home run/double/tagged-out blunder against the Royals, Polanco has been lights out. There have been a lot of ups and a lot of downs with the Twins offense this year. However, they have started to heat up in the past weeks, but with Correa still struggling, will it be enough?
  14. We can platoon him in at 1B and have Taylor not be an everyday starter. Taylor has been good this year but we can all agree Kiriloffs hitting is better. An Outfield of Larnach/Gallo/Kepler also is still a great defensive outfield.
