Start supporting each other like a team should!

Twins Video

I'm tired of the inconsistencies and excuses.  This team needs to get it's s*#t together and start playing like a championship caliber team should.  Hitters need to produce offense to support their pitchers.  Pitchers need to win the tough late inning battles.  Defenses need to stop making blundering errors at key moments.  And coaches need to shake things up in the clubhouse and get in players faces.  So much talent on this team, and the rest of the Central Divsion is practically gift wrapping the Twins the pennant.  And they're squandering the opportunity.  Now start playing some real baseball or get off the frigg'n field!!!

Current record projects to 92 wins.

There are no perfect teams nor perfect results. They play, sometimes better than others. Frustrating! (3 hits v. a guy with a 6.92 ERA)……….Really frustrating!

Lost a HR by Correa in 1st………maybe 10” further & gone. Gordon pinch hit HR in 8th. Great outing by Ryan………,some positives but López didn’t get it done. Frustrating!

If the hitting and pitching and fielding lined up and your average runs scored was higher than your average runs given up, the team would be 162 and 0.  It doesn’t work that way.  As for coaches in players faces, the world doesn’t work the way it did when Casey Stengel managed, or even Billy Martin.  You can’t yell a team to success no matter how loud you are.

Sucks to contemplate but MAYBE the reason they don't play like a championship team is because they are not a championship team.  At the end of the year only one of those will exist.  Real good chance that most teams aren't it.

The Twins are certainly not playing like a Championship team. Their starting pitchers seem to be above average, their bullpen seems average, their fielding seems average and their hitting is below average. They should win their weak division, but need better hitting to beat good teams. They went into Chicago with some people expecting a sweep, but they were lucky to win one game. If their two high paid stars don't start hitting the Twins will continue to not play like a championship team

Rocco is not an in your face manager, never has and never will be that type of motivator. I'm doubtful that getting in faces would work in today's MLB anyway.

The Twins hitters and pitchers are trying their best and are making constant improvements, of that I'm certain. The other teams get a paycheck and are also among the best players in the world.

I do agree they could shore up the defense a bit. There were some mental lapses during the last homestand that needed improvement.

I'd recommend to enjoy the season and let the games play out on the field. This is the best and most complete starting rotation in many years. They are on a 90+ win pace and fans should be satisfied with that at the moment.

Okay.  So we agree.  They're not a Championship caliber team.  What does that have to do with playing to your team's (or as an individual's) full potential, which they don't seem to be doing right now?  Accountability isn't reserved to Championship teams.  Players and coaches need to start being accountable.  Period.

It's not about being loud or yelling.  It's about accountability.  I can calm down after my initial statements.  Can the Twins find their way to a divisional title? Based on what I've seen so far, I have my doubts.

Another game that the Twins have the bases loaded and no outs, but they score 0 runs. It is hard to understand why the Twins have the worst record in baseball in scoring runs with the bases loaded.  There has to be some reason why they have this problem.  The players have to produce, but they need leadership which seems to be lacking.

We are in bit of slump but every team goes though this. Still think twins win division. But enough of the negativity!!! The Facebook twins page is horrible and nasty!!! That’s why I’m in here instead!

Starts at the top... Baldelli and this coaching staff has not shown the ability to coach sound fundamentals since he arrived. Our focus on HR or bust mentality is showing it's ugly face again. This starts with manager and hitting coach... not good.

Baldelli stating we would be much more aggressive on the base baths. Just shows a lack of commitment and guts to get off of his hands and manage. Argh.

Love our Twins but as an old coach the lack of fundamentals on defense and understanding situational hitting and holding players accountable for this ... is tough to watch.

I don’t think the club is quite as talented as you seem to think.

To pitching has probably overachieved if anything so far.

And offensively, the club went into the season counting on a lot of individual improvement and/or guys taking big steps…

Larnach, Miranda, Kirilloff, Gallo, Gordon, Kepler…all unproven or coming off very bad years. Meanwhile, you’ve weakened the CF spot from an offensive standpoint, as well.

Overall, they’re about where I thought they’d be…although the pitching has been better than I expected and the offense has been a little worse than I expected.

Should still be able to win the ALC. And if the pitching holds up it would give them a punchers chance in the playoffs.
