Just finished this book. It’s a pretty good deep dive into the history of the franchise from the time they moved to Minnesota to now. The only complaints I have about the book is there were some factual errors, typos the editor didn’t catch and information that was repeated that I feel may have been to make the book longer than it needed to be. If you’re interested, you can purchase the book here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0D21W7KMK/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?ie=UTF8&dib_tag=se&dib=eyJ2I
Hi again everyone. I hope you all are well. I just finished reading Herb Carneal’s book titled “Hi Everybody!” Here are my thoughts:
This book is about one of, if not the man, I wanted to be growing up, “The Voice of the Minnesota Twins” on the radio. This was a good book, I just wish he had told more behind the scenes stories rather than talking about individual games that we can read about in other publications. I wish I had read this when it actually came out instead of now since so much
This book written by Thom Henninge tells the story of the great Tony Oliva.
Tony O. has a fascinating life story from growing up in Cuba to coming to the USA to pursue his dream of playing baseball. This book really delves into all the things that this man has endured to make his dream happen. Unfortunately that dream came to an end sooner than he would have liked and was published before he received a long overdue honor of getting into the Hall of Fame. A must read for a

I recommend this book for any baseball history lover. I listened to the audio version and I’d say that’s the best way to go because you get to hear the actual voices of these players from eras gone by. The stories are fantastic. Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven’t posted in a very long time. Everyone on here does such a good job covering the team I’ve been struggling with figuring out what could I possibly add that would be unique to the site. I haven’t found anyone on here who reviews books so that’s something I’m going to start doing. If there is someone on here who already does this I’m sorry for stealing your idea.
The first book I’m going to review is “Harmon Killebrew: Ultimate Slugger” by Steve Aschburner. He
Sonny Gray tossed 5 scoreless innings as the Twins beat the White Sox 3-1 Wednesday to take the three game series 2-1 and cap off a 4-2 homestand. Gray now has a 0.53 ERA through three starts this season, It appears that he also only went 5 innings today because he is battling an upper respiratory virus. He left with a lead that was never relinquished, earning himself a win. Kind of sweet justice for him after not getting the win in his previous, even better, start because the bullpen couldn’t
The Twins came away victorious tonight 3-2 vs. the Chicago White Sox in their first home night game of the 2023 season. The win came on an error on what was supposed to just be a sacrifice bunt by Michael A. Taylor. Instead, the throw from the pitcher hit Taylor on the helmet and went into right field allowing pinch runner Willi Castro to score on the play. Taylor was given credit for a hit but no RBI as the run scored because of the error..
Pablo Lopez, who struggled in the first inning,
Hey Everyone,
I am sorry for being very lackadaisical in posting. I’m going to fix that so hopefully you will enjoy the content I put out there in addition to the podcast. For now though, please give this week’s episode a listen! We had our own John Bonnes join us! You can listen at the link below or on any podcast platform.
Hey everyone,
I hope everyone’s week has been good and especially better than the Twins were tonight in getting crushed by the White Sox 12-2. Yuck! This week on the podcast, Chris joins me again. We talk about the Twins uninspiring play recently, Wednesday’s bottom of the 9th not withstanding. We also discuss the All-Star break, a prospect being promoted to AAA, the trade deadline, the Sano problem and other things. You can follow the show on Facebook and Twitter and our new website! http
Happy off day to you all!
Are off days ever happy for us? I guess if they are struggling they are. Our guys are still in first place at 47-38 despite, as Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic and Gleeman and the Geek puts it, "their best efforts to try give it away." Obviously the part of this team that appears to need the most attention is the bullpen. It was no more obvious than this past week with them losing three games in walk-off fashion including yesterday's heartbreaker vs. the White Sox.
Okay maybe things aren’t as bad as pets spontaneously losing heads. In fact they’re nowhere near that.
However, it has been another weird week in Twins Nation and this one unlike any other with pitching coach Wes Johnson deciding to leave the organization effective after Thursday’s game. In this week’s episode of The Twins Nation Podcast my brother and I speculate on if there is any reason other than what has been stated as to why he would leave. We also discuss the team’s play and upcoming s
It has been announced just a little bit ago that 1B/OF Alex Kirilloff has been recalled from the Triple-A St. Paul Saints and second baseman Jorge Polanco has been put on the injured list retroactive to June 13th, due to lower back tightness. This comes as the Twins head to Phoenix to face the 30-35, 4th place Arizona Diamondbacks this weekend. It will be interesting whether Kirilloff is put in the lineup right away tonight or not as the Twins will face lefty Madison Baumgarner.

Hello Twins fans! I'm new to this space. Hopefully I give you content you will find interesting. I'm also fairly new to podcasting. My podcast is the the Twins Nation Podcast. My website is https://www.podpage.com/twins-nation/ where you can find all the episodes. Twins Daily writer Sherry Cerny, whom you all probably know you can find here: https://twinsdaily.com/profile/12379-sherry-cerny/, is a cohost as well as my brother Daniel and another friend of mine, Chris Larson. Give it a listen eit
I am not a follower of Donald Trump. I have participated in several no kings rallies and am disgusted with what he and his followers have done to our country and the world. I would like to know what most Brazilians feel about the United States now and about the folks our citizens have elected to represent us.
Just read your article on Twins defense this year and I couldn’t agree more. Pair poor defense with an over abundance of left handed hitters, players who have failed to show they can hit consistently, and a pitching staff lacking in quality starters (Ryan excepted) and we have the makings of a team that is going to lose90-100 games this year.
I read your article on Walker Jenkins. Derek Falvey’s player scouting and development operation has produced few, if any, long term starting position players who can field and hit well enough to be regulars over a nine year period. For this reason I am inclined to be skeptical about Jenkins until he proves otherwise. I hope I’m proven wrong but, given the Twins inability to find and develop position players who have the ability to hit and defend over any period of time, I fear I may be proven correct. We shall see.
