  1. Given the health history of some of the guys being penciled in ahead of him, having a 4th OF who can play at least two spots, hit with some pop and play great defense sounds like a no brainer. This situation reeks of the Eddie Rosario situation two years ago. He HAD to go. And yet, to this day, he has not been adequately replaced. If it didn't work then, no reason to believe it won't work this time, right?
  2. Two guys who can't stay on the field. PLUS Buxton. Celestino's a 4th OF. Wallner has 65 career plate appearances. Gordon's an infielder. Somebody's gotta DH. Apparently, we've gotta trade Kepler cuz he bats left handed. I always love how our fan base want's to get rid of guys when they get to the point where they're making $10 Million (not a huge amount in this day and age) and then bitch because we don't spend money.
  3. I'm far more concerned with the health of guys who are no longer prospects and are not yet yet major contributors because they can't stay on the field. Talking to you Larnach & Kiriloff.
  4. Watch a game on television where they show the "strike zone" and then go read the rule book and see where the strike zone actually is. This will solve little. Umpires get the call right about 93% of the time. Ball players get out about 70% of the time. Maybe we need robo players........
  5. We had 11 guys over 100 last year. You've included 3 of them in this trade. One has already been traded. One will not be healthy until mid season AT BEST. One has 65 career plate appearances and one can't stay healthy to save his own life. Sounds like less than 700 runs again to me.
  6. We scored less than 700 runs last year. Seems like the only team's "instant offense" we should be concerned about is our own.
  7. Don't hold your breath on Kepler. Given the inability of Larnach and Kirilloff to stay on the field could be a huge mistake.
  8. The claim that we merely have "the same roster" with Correa on board overlooks the fact that without Correa we're not even close to the same. Probably a half dozen fewer wins which puts us at 90 losses. Nobody wants to see that.
  9. My day 1 call was $10 years $275 Million. Almost spot on.

    It Happened!

Damn close to spot on with the 10 year $275 Million I called from Day 1.

    It Happened!

90% of this game is half luck.
  12. Which brings us back to where I keep coming back to: What if Duran was MORE valuable as a starter than as an reliever???? What If HE was the # 1 we've been clamoring for since Jack Morris left?
  13. The article clearly states that the Twins are comfortable with his physical condition based on knowledge from last season AND that any deal would require another physical. Not sure where the mistake comes into play.
  14. Relax boys & girls. Cohen liked those tweets cuz they're about kissing his ass.
  15. A poor man's Luis Arraez. If Arraez is moved for pitching this guy could / should get a shot.
  16. I might as well. Correa on the other hand.....
  17. And go thru the same thing next year?
  18. As I recall, your perfect offseason plan involved signing Mancini for a ridiculously low number. Yes, I understand he hasn't signed anywhere yet. Maybe because somebody (we?) are offering him that number.
  19. What's hilarious is that you think my thoughts on bringing back Sano are based on past performance rather than on what I think he can still do in the FUTURE.
  20. No more silly than thinking the past has any bearing on the future. Although IF that were the case I'd say we're in for another 75 win season. That should be exciting.
  21. Cuddyer hit 197 career home runs. Gonna take Gordon a couple lifetimes to get to that number.
  22. He's and infielder masquerading as a corner outfielder--with limited power. That's got disaster written all over it if you're expecting a hundred starts as such.
