    I said all off season that they basically did nothing to improve the offense. Correa was here last year so that's a wash. Vasquez' only redeeming quality is that he's not Omar Narvaez. Gallo? Please! Don't try to justify a guy whose batting average is below the Mendoza line. Farmer? I know it wasn't an actual trade but he basically replaced Gio Urshella. It was NOT a clear win. Solano? C'mon. Quit lying to yourself. Makes you look as stupid as when you were gushing about guys like Jake Cave & Kyle Garlick. At the end of the day, they took a team that scored fewer than 700 runs last year and turned it into a team that will almost certainly score fewer than 700 runs this year with better pitching. ONE team wins the World Series each year. The other 29 had better be entertaining. This one is not.

    OMG. THIS TEAM IS TERRIBLE. A GAME UNDER .500 ON JULY 1. NO TEAM HAS EVER COME FROM SO FAR DOWN AND WON A WORLD SERIES. NO TEAM HAS EVER OVERCAME A ONE GAME LEAD IN THEIR DIVISION ON JULY 1 TO WIN EITHER THEIR DIVISION, THEIR LEAGUE OR THE WORLD SERIES. THIS TEAM IS TERRIBLE. EVERY PLAYER ON THE ROSTER HAS UNDER PERFORMED THE EXPECTATIONS WE HAD FOR THEM COMING INTO THE SEASON. THEY ALL MUST BE RELEASED OR TRADED IMMEDIATELY. WE HAVE 26 GUYS IN THE MINORS WHO WOULD WIN THIS DIVISION BY A COUPLE DOZEN GAMES. THE MANAGER, ALL THE COACHES AND THE ENTIRE FRONT OFFICE AND SCOUTING DEPARTMENT MUST BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY. WOE IS US. THE SKY IS FALLING.

    Yeah, cuz MY second guessing and rehashing is what's creating the sour taste.

    Moved on from Rosario with no adequate replacement ready. And now we can't hit. Wonder why? Eddie would be tied for the Twins lead in Home Runs & RBI and two points of the pace in BA.

    How good were the Twins last year with Arraez? Or the year before?

    So MUCH traces back to trading away Berrios. Tyler Mahle trade was made because we needed to plug the hole left when we traded Berrios. Didn't work out which precipitated the Arraez trade. Can probably factor the Sonny Gray trade in this mess too. Have never replaced Rosario either. I hate to keep harping on these two moves (actually, no I don't because SO much of the mess from the last two plus seasons traces back to them) but all the discussion in the world of the current state of affairs gets you nowhere if we ignore these two moves.

    Meanwhile instead of watching Sano hit .235 and 35 home runs we're watching Gallo hit .189 and maybe not set the team strikeout record because he'll miss too many games. I'd rather watch Sano eat Twinkies. Much more fun.

    MIGHT be a great opportunity to zig while everyone else zags. Everyone else will be (as always) looking for pitching. We should be focusing on bats. Should be less competition.

    You get back to me when Arraez hits 100 RBI. We're halfway thru the season and he's not at 100 if we count this year AND last year. Not holding my breath.

    Big difference. Batting champs can finish 13th in MVP voting.
