  1. For the record, I'm worried about the relievers.
  2. The Twins gave up 23 runs in 3 games to the Yankees. I think it's fair to say the pitching was the primary culprit. They started something called Randy Dobnak in game 2 in Yankee Stadium, ferpetesake.
  3. yesterday. Rumored to have interest in Josh Donaldson.
  4. Another action packed day at the winter meetings for your Minnesota Twins.
  5. There's a great joke lurking here, amiright?
  6. what evidence is there they didn't do exactly this?
  7. doubt it. Nintendo comes from Japan, Cabrera from the Dominican.
  8. If they can get that Ben Nintendo guy, the Price Is Right!
  9. I didn't even know Northern Colorado had a baseball program.
  10. how about 7 + 3.1? Greater than 7? Besides which...we didn't win the race. Your goal seems to be asset preservation. That's not mine.
  11. The car analogy also falls apart due to the reason you're buying a car in the first place. This is MLB we're talking about. You're not buying a car to commute back and forth to work, where any car will perform the job, it's just aesthetics. You're buying a car for a race against 29 other car owners, and your chances of winning that race get pretty low when you're driving a used 2011 Prius. Great value, not much performance. If your goal is to keep stocking your 401k, and not spend much on gas, great car. If your goal is to win the race, not so much.
  12. Right...using Darvish, Ohtani, and Wheeler as examples of the Twins new willingness to sign free agents. The Cubs, Angels and Phillies concur.
  13. case in point...Justin Verlander, who many said was washed up.
  14. ‘Bet the Pohlads had a balloon payment due to Mauer Mauer sells balloons? I thought he had a used car lot.
  15. At this point we have three fifths of a rotation (for the last three fourths of 2020.) Pineda didn't pitch down the stretch last year.
  16. Good signing, but it helps return the Twins to "competitive in the ALC." And even that isn't assured, at this point. If the goal is to win a WS, there's work to be done yet.
  17. Wait...the lack of a payroll cap makes it harder for the Twins to compete for free agents??
  18. But does he feature all four pitches? Can he reach that balance point?
  19. In which ALDS did get swept with both Santana and Liriano in the rotation?
  20. Sadly, we won't have many such disagreements prior to the 2020 season, I fear.
  21. I agree. The problem is, you need to name them before the 2020 season, not after.
