I was always thought of as a player who ran like he was waist deep in water. But that never prevented me from watching for a chance to take an extra base. For example, I noticed that the left fielder, after fielding a ball, would almost always tossed the ball leisurely to the closest infielder. I kept this in mind as I went from first to second on a single. As I rounded second base, I watched the left fielder lob the ball with a high arc to the shortstop instead of throwing it towards third base. So I took off for third and safely slid in. All this at the speed of my mother using her walker. It's baseball awareness, not just speed.

There has been a lot of criticism of Brooks Lee on TD. Especially about his sub-par offensive numbers. So this morning, I went to mlb.com and looked at statistics for the Minnesota Twins to see how Lee stacks up with the remaining Twins. Category Lee's Ranking ABs 2 AVG 4 RBIs 2 HR 5 BB 5 K 5 OPS 7 OBP 6 It appears that Lee is having a pretty good year.

It doesn't make any difference if he is traded or "steps up", he will still make league minimum.

A question about position #23. Wouldn't Wallner>>>Gonzales/Rosario make league minimum instead of the $2.2M you have?

Twins currently have 7th worst record in the race for the lottery. good news is that two of the teams ahead of them are not eligible for the 2026 draft. Standings are through yesterday. I concur. My problem with BTV (especially at the trade deadline) is that it was no way in include how badly someone wants a particular player. In your desire for a bat (everyone's desire I think) you appear to be willing to outbid other teams. That seems to throw BTV out the window (which is what I would do).

Didn't look at BTV. I doubt any front office does either. But that's beside the point. You said "whatever it takes". So I must assume you would be happy with this trade. If not, please write what you actually mean.

Manager, 3rd base coach, hitting coach. But that has nothing to do with my comment. If it's so damn easy to find a first baseman, why haven't they done it?
