I would rather see Tait called up so he could see what life is like in the big leagues. Maybe a little more incentive for the young man.

Whom Could Minnesota Twins Trade This Offseason?
terrydactyls replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Lots of analysis, trepidation, and, of course, the mandatory Trade Rocco or Trade Falvey comments. But any trades that might be made are totally dependent on what the return is. If the return exceeds the perceived value (by the Twins, not BTV or MTV or whatever your favorite tool might be). Everyone should be available for the right price.- 46 replies

I think that Lewis makes a very valid point that a mid-season tinkering with his swing might cause a downturn in his performance for a period of time. And that downturn could easily be used against him in an arbitration. The whole process of bad-mouthing a player in order to force him to accept a lower offer seems counterproductive to me. Actually the entire salary system seems out of whack. In order to afford free agents that might help your team, the owners have two choices: 1. Pay your younger players minimum wage where a player like Paul Skenes has the same salary as SWR, or 2) be willing to shell out whatever it takes to get a prize free agents. I have no answer to this conundrum. But it needs to be addressed in the CBA.

Should the Twins Bring Back Luis Arraez?

Tristan Casas with zero value? This is why I think BTV is stupid. The main point of this trade is to acquire Casas who has no value? -

I was always thought of as a player who ran like he was waist deep in water. But that never prevented me from watching for a chance to take an extra base. For example, I noticed that the left fielder, after fielding a ball, would almost always tossed the ball leisurely to the closest infielder. I kept this in mind as I went from first to second on a single. As I rounded second base, I watched the left fielder lob the ball with a high arc to the shortstop instead of throwing it towards third base. So I took off for third and safely slid in. All this at the speed of my mother using her walker. It's baseball awareness, not just speed.

There has been a lot of criticism of Brooks Lee on TD. Especially about his sub-par offensive numbers. So this morning, I went to mlb.com and looked at statistics for the Minnesota Twins to see how Lee stacks up with the remaining Twins. Category Lee's Ranking ABs 2 AVG 4 RBIs 2 HR 5 BB 5 K 5 OPS 7 OBP 6 It appears that Lee is having a pretty good year.
