  1. I don't trust any "data" presented by a guy named Tom Tango. Sounds like a porn star. 😇😇
  2. Do you think that the two angelic smiley faces are sufficient for typical TD readers to catch on that I was being sarcastic?
  3. Just a thought, but how about trading Larnach for a half decent RHOF? 😇😇
  4. Spring training can't arrive soon enough. We've gone through weeks of "what if" articles because nothing has happened that's worth talking about. No one's even mentioned that the lowly Dodgers signed Roki Sasaki, Tanner Scott and Kirby Yates. I sure hope they don't go over their $130M budget this year.
  5. I started to read it but quit when I noticed it was different than the topic. Do I have an opinion? Nope. Should I? Why. It ain't up to me so why waste time worrying.
  6. The question this article asks is if the Twins could use a six-man rotation. The only possible answer is: Yes, they could. All the comments are responding to a question not asked: Should the Twins use a six-man rotation.
  7. And where does the money come from to acquire these three? And don't say by getting rid of Vasquez, Paddock, and Castro. There probably isn't any team that wants Vasquez or Paddock, and Castro might be a difficult player to trade without taking back salary the other team wants to shed - so that would be a net zero trade. I'm afraid the Twins are stuck with these three for 2025 so they should make the best of it by working with Cartaya to be a MLB catcher, moving Paddock to the bullpen, and having the new hitting coach work with Vasquez. I can live with the current team. I would rather see the Twins giving opportunities to their prospects than just go out and a body to appease fans.
  8. I'm amused by all these trade proposal articles. They all contain a sentence along the lines of "and that will allow the Twins to trade Vasquez and Paddock for salary relief". Who's willing to trade for them? And if anyone is willing to trade for them, what difference does this trade make? If there any teams willing to take Vasquez and Paddock, trade them now and worry about the second catcher later.
  9. My New Year's resolution is that the Twins sell the team quickly and the new owners are looking to win championships. (I know that isn't really a "resolution" but it's close enough.)
  10. I think you may have hit the nail on the head. That was my first thought also.
  11. Interesting use of the comma as the only punctuation. And with a space before each comma.
  12. What the heck? Let's just wait to see what happens before writing such silly articles.
  13. As a huge fan of union labor, I have to say quit being a shill for Karl Marx. Both sides are to blame. There is plenty of greed to go around.
  14. You tell 'em!!!! Who cares if bleacher seats cost $200?
  15. Whenever I read that someone has a compact swing, I immediately think of Paul Molitor.
  16. If I correctly decypher this poorly written sentence, I wholeheartedly agree. This is the same content I've read nearly daily since the World Series ended. By the way, who won?
  17. More poor writing? See highlights above. P.S. There should be a comma after the word "refresher" in the first sentence.
  18. If the Pohlad's had any baseball business acumen (just regarding baseball and not their other business ventures - which I have no idea what they are - I've not lived in Minnesota in over 40 years), they should look at this offseason as the time to improve the Twins in order to raise the selling price. Everyone seems to think that the current roster at $130M (I just traded Paddock for a Juan Sota autographed jersey and tickets to the Dancing with Stars finale in 2025) has enough to be a post-season participatant. If the Pohlad's opened up their purses just a little bit and brought in a RH outfielder and another strong reliever, the Twins might even make some noise in the postseason. Anyone looking to buy the Twins would see a viable postseason contender with a payroll under $150M. I would think that would look very good to a potential buyer. It's like buying a house. If I went to an open house and liked the house in general but saw green shag carpeting with holes and stains, I would offer a whole lot less than the asking price. But if the sellers had torn out the carpeting and replaced it with nice hardwood floors, I might be willing to even go above asking price.
  19. There is one thing (and only one thing) that I like about the Twins' self-imposed budget cap for 2025. It has caused the current off-season to be about as exciting as a CPA convention in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan in early February. But that has given the staff at Twins Daily the opportunity to hone their writing skills trying to find different ways for the Twins to improve, yet stay within budget. Nearly every day there is at least one article that attempts to do this. Bravo!
  20. I would love to see MLB pitchers trying to hit the strike zone that Eeles presents. He would only have to protect against pitches a few inches above and below his waist.
  21. A quick look at MiLB.com shows 2B, CF, and 1B.
