    Surely? Yet, he was the best option in 2023, as they could not do better. If someone emerges, great but, as of right now, I don't see that name.

    I agree completely. During the 2nd inning, I was thinking, give Ryan one more inning and then bring in Paddack to pitch 3 innings. Stewart, Jax and Duran after that.

    Agreed, all the way around. You can't score on a strikeout, put the ball in play, things do happen.

    When the season started, and Twins management stated that Buxton would start the season at DH, I was skeptical, to say the least. By the time the season was 6 weeks old, it was becoming obvious that he was not going to play CF any time soon. At the all-star break, many people, including myself, said he would not play CF this season and maybe never again. At this point, I believe it is never again. The question is, with multiple years left on his contract, a no-trade clause and not much positive on the horizon, what do the Twins do with him?

    I can't believe the author was serious, when he said, drop two of these four........Gallo, Luplow, Farmer or Solano. Solano......are you kidding? Probably the most consistent player on the entire team all year.

    I was thinking the exact same thing about the Solano comment. Not too bad for a 35 year old hobbled player. I'd put Solano at 1st base the rest of the season.

    14 strikeouts........that is over 50%......and against Oakland on top of it. Speaking of strikeouts, has anyone ever seen another batter look as bad at the plate, as Buxton right now? The called 3rd strike was pathetic.

    I guess we are doomed to being a .500 or less team, until Falvey is gone.

    Rocco does this all the time. Somebody goes 2-4 or 3-4 and they sit the next game. He's been doing it for multiple years.

    I agree. Not only are the Twins leading all of MLB in strikeouts, the percentage appears to be drifting up, as the season goes along. The last few series, the percentage has run between 40% and 45% of at bats ending in strikeouts. The aprroach has to change.

    I agree. The strikeouts that drive me nuts are the 3 called strikes. The batter never even swings. I have watched too many Twins take that approach.

    I'm thinking that if they would actually play the same 3 guys in the outfield, even 2 or 3 games in a row, those mistakes might improve.

    Exactly. They are on pace to set a new MLB strikeout record and nobody even asks. How many Twins hitters start their at bat 0-2, watching the first 2 pitches go by. Buxton struck out on 3 pitches Saturday, never even took the bat off his shoulder. The team strikeout percentage against Detroit was 42.5%. Completely pathetic. Managements hitting philosophy apparently is, hit a home run or strikeout. It's not working. We need change and in a big hurry.

    It's not and it might even be a negative, given his performance.

    Agreed !! Over the winter, when the possible trade of Arraez came up, many said he had topped out, will never hit this well again, his knees are bad, he's a lousy fielder. trade him ASAP. Well, they were all wrong on all counts. Wish we still had him on the team..

    I agree on Gallo. Kepler was doing well before the injury. Give him a few more games.

    I had similar thoughts about how the players look. It came across to me like they were 15 games out with 10 left to play and just mailing it in.
