  1. I can't help but wonder if this is hard for all the Correa haters on this site to watch. I was all in on him when they signed him, and wasn't worried about last season, knowing he was hurt. Yet he played thru it for most of the year. C4 is a beast and I'm glad he signed here.
  2. Wallner is raking. Margot and Martin are both better defenders, but they must be looking over their shoulders a bit.
  3. My wife saw them and thought there was some kind of special event. I asked her why and she said "because the Twins are wearing pajamas". I had to laugh, and really agreed with her.
  4. If Lewis can stay healthy, it looks like he will be 1 of the top players in baseball. At least in the short time he has played. I would say it was a very successful draft!
  5. I would go another couple weeks and see where he is with his hitting. If he can have a month hitting around ,250 with an OBP over .700, then I would give him another chance. Of course, any OF injury changes that.
  6. I would like to see Julian get as many reps at 1st as possible while he's in St. Paul. He has hit at every level so far. Then next year I would like to see an infield with Julian/Miranda at 1st, Lee at 2nd, Correa at SS, and Lewis at 3rd. I believe Lee will be a better than average hitter from both sides and a good fielder. Julian and Miranda platoon at 1st. OF could get a little tricky. I'm not counting on Kepler. That seems to leave Larnach and Buxton and Castro and probably Martin as the 4th?
  7. Vazquez is starting to hit a bit lately. I can't see them dropping him, especially when you consider the fact that there would be no one to step in if an injury took him or Jeffers out for any length of time.
  8. Jackson didn't look very good on Wed. against the Rockies.
  9. Thielbar should go on the IL. Something must be wrong or maybe father time is calling? Is getting old a reason to go on the IL?
  10. As is said, "opinions are like ass holes, everyone has them and they all stink." I am glad correa plays here and I expect him to play at a high level.
  11. I think Lopez will be fine. Give it a little time. The only real problem I've noticed is he's missing with his location. He has just thrown to many pitches in the "whoop 'em zone.
  12. Tick-Tock for Farmer. Even Margot has started playing better now. Boat anchor is a good way to describe Farmer now with the results he's showing on the field.
  13. That's the Paddack everyone was hoping for when they traded for him. Now we'll see if this is the new norm or just a good game out of many.
  14. I could see Jeffers make it if he starts hitting again. Ryan probably deserves to go and may end up the lone Twins rep, unless Jeffers can get out of his slump.
  15. Looks like St.Paul has the same "contact" problems as the big club. Maybe it's time to look at the hitting philosophy through the entire system.
  16. The balls and strikes called is getting worse for sure. But that's not what is holding the Twins back. The clutch hitting and lack of contact, any contact, with 2 strikes is what's killing the Twins!
  17. I agree to a point. He has also been missing pitches in the middle of the zone or watching them go by. He has to start with the approach of fouling off some of these borderline pitches. That probably means toning down his swing a bit with 2 strikes.
  18. Move him to 1B while in St. Paul so he gets some reps there!
  19. The players that need to be replaced with upgrades probably wouldn't bring back a bag of batting practice balls. Other than Kepler, I just don't see other teams wanting any of Margot type players.
  20. This umpire crew was so lousy, but is it fair to blame the loss on them? The game could have looked much different had the 1st pitch which was well into the zone been called a strike. Would have the at bat changed with a 2-2 count instead of 3-1? Just an example. Then we have Farmer bobble a possible DP grounder, if Correa could get to 2nd on time, after shifting so deep into the hole. Who knows, but the game was poorly umped and with the "B" lineup vs a lefty there just isn't room for mistakes.
