Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Oh, man ... that was good. Dinner I mean. And I mean my real dinner, the take-out I brought home with me. That was one damn fine Philly cheesesteak from Jersey Mike's

glunn Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 lol ... which reminds me ... Glunn, how was the dog party and what did you end up bringing for a gift? The dog party was fun. We brought a squeaky toy and a plush toy. There was a very beautiful and tall blonde woman, recently divorced, who spent most of the evening focused on me. On the way home, my wife commented on this, but I was not in trouble because I did not initiate anything and because my wife knows that I would never want to be with any woman that skinny. Still, I was flattered by the attention and it reduced the sting of having a birthday that is pushing me closer to 60.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 I need to try that. There is a Jersey Mike's that is less than 800 feet from my front door. This one opened up last spring and this was my first try. It's right next to the L stop. And since I'm leaving town tomorrow for a week and have nothing of any substance in my frig, decided to give it a go. The cheese was all melty and the peppers and onions grilled to perfection. Just, yum!
glunn Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Darvish has only 7 Ks through 5 innings. Maybe he is injured?

Whammy Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Has a no hitter ever been so inevitable? I was actually thinking to myself earlier... "is there a sports betting website out there that makes lines on no hitters in individual games?"

"is there a sports betting website out there that makes lines on no hitters in individual games?" If so I wouldn't hesitate to put money down on Tanyon Sturtze against the Twins.

Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Hey everyone, just thought I'd pop in and check out the game thread. How's the offense lookin' tonight?
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Darvish has only 7 Ks through 5 innings. Maybe he is injured? The Twins batters probably deserve some of the blame but I'm holding you accountable for the top of the sixth.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 David Wells, Catfish Hunter, Jared Weaver...Yu Darvish?
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Hey everyone, just thought I'd pop in and check out the game thread. How's the offense lookin' tonight? Archie the Rally Avatar is looking kinda sickly so far.

mikeee Provisional Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Darvish has a no hitter going.

mikeee Provisional Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 There is one guy batting over .250 in the Twin's lineup. That is depressing.

Back in the day, I had a low OBP, but I kept my OPS respectable with a high SLG. I tried to leg everything into an XBH.

Well, truth be told, there are a few times I've overthrown first on purpose. And then there are times where really, it was an awfully timed error.
Whammy Verified Member Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Not that I'm scouring sports betting websites, but a moneyline of -330 has to be pretty rare.
