I have my ticket to see Ryan and the Twins for the last time this year. Detmers is a decent pitcher and has stats better than Ryan. My fingers are crossed that Joe will pitch a good game tonight.

in what world  do you have Walker Jenkins  batting 9th between  Victor and Kreidler,     Derek   quit thinking  your helping him , get the kid up in the middle where he belongs ,  no other teams seem to play the r-l thing as much as you do ,   Talent is Talent  unleash him!!!!!

Patzky, I have a question for you, since I have appreciated your thoughts over the last two years. It is an honest question, since it perplexes me a good bit. I played baseball through high school...play some college ball until I was hurt...and am a Twins fans and fan of the baseball....but admit that I am not an expert in the sport. Please know that I have enjoyed Buxton playing for the Twins....but I cannot for the life of me understand how some individuals post comments that he will be returning to CF next year and be 100%. He will be 33 is constantly injured and has played in only about 50% of the games at the MLB due to being hurt. Yes, he has very played well in many of these games, but that is obviously quite limited...  Do people expect him to magically play a full season healthy after hip surgery and all of his ailments or is there just a satisfaction of having him potentially there 50% of the time? Your comments would be appreciated. Thank you

There was a huge connection of Lewis fans wearing his name on the back of their shirts last name who were crowded behind the dugout, His extended family/friends from Orange County were present.

Thanks for the kind words, firstly. I can tell you're not looking to denigrate Buck, but are honestly concerned about his performance and health. I am too.

I feel he'll be ready when called up. With the caveat that this time, as was not done in the past, a rather lengthy minor league rehab stint will be required. This isn't a hammy. Buck may be reluctant to do it but the team needs to be insistent. We have enough OF depth that his play (while excellent when healthy) won't help the team unless he's in mid season form, if he returns in mid season. As always the work stoppage may impact schedules. 

If I had to put money down on a full season I'd expect him to play 65 games with 20 or so of them as DH or PR. If he's in, he will be an impact player. It's in his blood. Let's hope.

This was the same escalator Culpeper climbed in his first weeks, ninth to eighth, ultimately higher if a day off impacted the lineup
