The Twins are putting Byron Buxton on the 10-day IL because of a right hip impingement. Gabby Gonzalez was called up.

10 day, Buxton needs to go on 60 day IL and get surgery for the hip impingement. Hopefully sooner than later. He should not have been activated.

Back in his most familiar position.

Whats goin on with Lewis --   lowest o.p.s. in Lineup  ??

He has done the unforgivable in a Twins lineup, he is going thru a slump for the last two weeks.  For August he has an average of .286 and OPS of .729 but he is the one that gets moved down in the lineup.  Clemens has been slumping the whole month of August and he keeps hitting 3 or 4.  Move up Culpepper and Jenkins, Jeffers should slide down in the order as well.

I am guessing we are going to see a lot of Gonzalez at 1B for Lewis starting next week.  I am on the trade Lewis train officially.  The team has lost trust in him, I don't agree that it is completely warranted but they have, they need to get a fresh start same as with Wallner.

Assuming Buck is done for the season, will he set the MLB record for fewest RBI (46) with 25 home runs? Take that, 2025 Matt Wallner!

Wait a second - did Buck already set this record in 2022 with 28 home runs and 46 RBI? That’s incredible.

I think he wanted to be in the lineup for the Field of Dreams game which was his first game after being reactivated...without going to St. PAUL FIRST. He had one good game then could not bend down to pick up the ball in centerfield at one point in SAC and was unable to fully run to the base before it. My understanding is that he had the option to skip going to St. Paul first. This is not the reason the Twins lost, but it certainly did not help the team status. He should be out for the season at this point. I really like Buxton, but management, the FO, the owner and Buxton need to consider what is in the best interest of the overall team. 🤔 in my opinion, Jenkins is the main CF in 2027. At 32, Buck plays....put the potential injury issues put him in other fields...DH...etc....

Shelton is no different than Rocco, you never see older guys moved down when its obvious they are slumping also , how about we start next year- w/o  Clemens-Bell- Larnach-Buck-  That way Royce can be the oldest starter at age 27-  joking but its true

Buck only really had one game where he looked like himself since coming back from the IL. I think this was bound to happen with no rehab games or no real "ramp up" from a hip that has bothered him his whole career.

Every single one of his GDPs have come with runners on base!

And no sacrifices with bases empty.

I'm listening on the radio and they claimed Bell stole second base. That can't be right, can it?

Yes. No throw.
