Kaalen Culpper bounced right back from losing his 7 game hit streak against the Padres. He is currently riding a 6 game hit streak. He has definitely adjusted really well to MLB.

If Byron Buxton needs offseason hip surgery, why not start now. Recovery process from hip unpingement is not a slow process. Very painful injury. The time to start planning for this is now. With labor strife on the horizon might not even be a 2027 season.

Jeffers has been "off" since not being moved at the deadline - .217/.325/.304 (.629 OPS) 0 HR, 6 RBI, 16 K. He does have 11 BB though...

These next two games are pretty much must-win for the Twins to have any shot at the division. Twins will need to go at least 4-1 in the next 5 vs. the White Sox to have any chance

Buxton shutting down for the season would be in TC best interest for this season and next.  It allows him to get healthy not play injured and TC to get an extended look at their top AAA outfielders in MLB games and make some needed decisions.

It's win win.  Bet they don't do it.

Well, other than that Gibson’s won a pivotal World Series game, and Buxton’s would have potentially won a game in August to bring his team to 6 games under 500. We probably should preface it by calling it a Twins Kirk Gibson moment.

But to have a realistic shot at the division, they’d need to win at least 8 of their next 5. And hope Cleveland cools off.
