stringer bell Verified Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Second straight left hander. I'll be interested in the starting lineup. My guess is Jackson at first, Lewis at second, Culpepper at short and Lee at third with Martin, Keaschall and Kreidler in the OF, maybe Jeffers behind the plate. The lefty hitters get the Miz on Sunday. Sounds like fun. Bullpen would be Rogers, Fundy, Minter, Adams and maybe Nance.

Looking at the matchups on Gameday, it looks like Clemens has had a bit of success against Gasser (minuscule sample size). So I’d expect Clemens at 2nd, Lewis at 1st, and Jackson either catching or on the bench. Permanent Twins Fan 1

Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago We can all be Shelty for a day. Clemens plugged between Royce, Bell, and Keaschall. Of that doesn't give him chances what will. Keaschall back in right, Jeffers back again and a day off for Victor. Permanent Twins Fan 1

And put Kreidler on the bench as a late inning replacement where he is most effective. Permanent Twins Fan and Parfigliano 2

Permanent Twins Fan Verified Member Posted 53 minutes ago Posted 53 minutes ago Red Sox up 2-0 on Athletics right away today. They are some kind of hot right now. 27-3 in their last 30 is insane. I think the Twins can give up on catching any of the three teams in the east. The funny thing with the expanded playoff format is that as it stands all three AL East teams will be on the same side of the AL playoffs meaning someone from the AL central or West will make the ALCS. Boston, Tampa Bay, and the Yankees are definitely the three best teams on this side, but only one of them can make the ALCS. If the Twins make the playoffs, they will be the 2, 3, or 6 and have a serious chance to make a run to the championship series. PseudoSABR 1

Yes I saw that article and I agree about Martin but Kreidler is a utility player at most. Kriedler's numbers went off the cliff when he started playing full time, to me it's fairly obvious what his role should be, but now Shelty seems determined to fit him into the lineup similar to Caratini. And I hope that feeling fades. S Bart 1

I'd like to see Clemens break out tonight...need Jenkins up soon to input in the outfield as this constant switcharoo is getting ridiculous with all positions, To guess a lineup in advance with the Twins nowadays is practically impossible!!!....simply cannot count on Buxton in the future either
