All the talk about Keaschall in CF, he is learning the position on the fly.  But there is a solution, the front office is just too stubborn or not competent enough to pull the trigger.

Yeah, what was Plouffe talking about? Diving for it was hardly going to make it a double had he missed.

Plouffe only critisizes certain players ,   Ass  K-sser to some also

I’ll be back at it tomorrow and still cling to hope, but this is just not a serious team. Flawed all around.  So many little mistakes tonight.

Until I see footage otherwise, I still think Jeffers should’ve scored on Lewis’ double.

Well, you gotta remember, it IS Trevor Bleeping Megill.  Has anyone gotten a hit off him all season?

They need to get set positions,  that is the first step in fixing the defense.  Guys like Clemens can move around, but not everyone has the ability or is comfortable doing it.

I generally agree with you that Jenkins needs to be up with the Twins.

HOWEVER…

We’re in the middle of a lefty-lefty-Misiorowski-lefty stretch of starting pitchers.

Not exactly the best time to call up a lefty prospect.

If he’s not called up by next weekend, I’ll be annoyed though.

He needs to play everyday, there is always a reason not to call someone up, There are no excuses to me anymore other than Zoll is incompetent.

So they should’ve called him up with Culpepper and had him make his major league debut against 3 out of 4 lefty SP and Jacob Misiorowski?

Not exactly setting him up to have early success.

He actually should have been up 2 weeks ago.  If you want to make excuses for Zoll, you are free to do so, I am not going to do so.  It is legal to bat a LH hitter against LH pitching, just because the analytic nerds don't like it doesn't mean it can't be done.

Already did, that is why I have been on a rant the last few days.

There is plenty of baseball left in the season. The pitching has been pretty good. The bats are having some decent shows but need to pick it up a bit. Just as Culpepper is not going to be the savior for the Twins, Walker Jenkins or Emmanuel Rodriguez are not either. The one advantage of EmRod and Walker is that they both run down balls on the grass quite effectively. As we saw tonight and many other times during this season, defense matters. The Brewers made the plays, the Twins did not. There are 44 games left and the Twins have as good a chance as Chicago, Cleveland, or Detroit to win the AL Central. The balance in baseball is really good right now.

Yeah…let’s call it “balance”.😉

I call it a mediocre AL keeping TC playoff hopes alive.
