I know it didn't work out, but PH Bell there is the right move.  Get a Righty/Lefty matchup and Bell has been our best hitter with RISP lately.  He also is sort of used to just coming off the bench since he has been our permanent DH for awhile now.  The only part that sucks is that we have burned him for the rest of the game in case we needed him.

Agreed - having that hit be caught by the pitcher is hardly a common occurrence!

Larnach was 1-3 with a double.  You could have a better case if he was 2-3 or 3-3 with a couple of hard-hit smashes.  It happens sometimes that the correct move doesn't always generate the result we want.

Its  another version of  just going by the computer and  not giving it a chance ,   look at all 3 of his  a.b. today   and last night  ,   im not a big fan of Larnach   ,  EYE TEST !!
