Can the Twins actually get back to .500? The White Sox are no longer pushovers. They're still not a good team, but they're at least respectable.

Sox call up their shiny new speedster Rikku Nishida, batting ninth and playing RF. Speedy and smart with the bat, not a power threat per se.  They have so many young exciting players.

Clemens is the one LH hitter going against Kay this afternoon. Buck still at DH and Jackson catching Zebby; Luke back at 2B. Sunny, low 80s forecast today.. quite a change from Sunday's weather.

Memorial Day, remember the reason.

These will be fun games, the Sox aren't pushovers anymore. Twins have done relatively well against the division so far.. hope it continues!

Kreidler at CF and Arcia at SS…both higher OPS than Buck.  Looking forward to see what Jackson can do at the plate today…my pick to click,

(Edit to add, over the last two years, Jackson is getting XBH in 9% of his PA, 13% vs LHP. Last year (sss) OPS over the 1000 vs LHP.)

I’m getting  “lingering injury” vibes from Buxton. Only has played in the field once since the hip injury was announced. He has so much more value when he can play in the field.

Clemens has started at four different positions, but if he’s in the lineup, I’d much rather see him at first base. I hope Jackson can add some offense. BTW, he is a pretty fast runner, faster than any of today’s starting infield.

Warm weather in Chicago. If the wind is blowing out, expect a bunch of home runs. The Twins are +11 in homers, the White Sox are +12.

Oops, I forgot Keaschall is back. Jackson is not faster than Keaschall.

Zebby loves home runs but so does Josh Bell. There I said it.

2023 left me with the conviction that if Buxton isn't healthy enough to roam CF, he isn't 100% at the plate either.  Hope he proves me wrong today, because I'm inferring it's difficult to get him to accept an IL stint.

I agree.  I think an IL stint would have been helpful.  You could have kept GG up here with regular playing time and still had Martin, Outman, or Kreidler in CF like they are having right now.  I look at his runout on the ground ball.  If he was healthy, I think he beats out an infield single.  He was slowing up as he approached 1st base.

He's helping behind the plate with that ABS challenge (horrible miss by the umpire)...

Hoping Zebby is one of these SP's that opposing teams need to get on early or their lockdown stuff takes over.... little shaky so far.

The weather isn't Zebby weather.
