Back when I used to watch TC--Chisox games on Chisox channel just to hear Hawk whine.

"White Sox announcer!  Give me your tears!  If you will not give them to me, I will take them from you!"

Doc Zebby stopped the bleeding

I think that is the difference between an experienced pitcher and a younger guy.  The younger guy has better stuff, but the more experienced pitcher adjusts quicker.  We have always heard about how you needed to get pitchers like Mussina or Buerhle in the 1st inning before they made their adjustments.  Looks like Zebby needed to get through the lineup before making adjustments.  I think he's throwing more off-speed stuff now the second time through the order.

Hope Jackson and Zebby can keep adjusting. This is an extremely dangerous lineup, probably only the Jays and Crew have been in the neighborhood among our opponents so far.

It would appear they're not going to hand us the game like the other Sox team.

They're legit. Pitching.. maybe the sore spot

Nishida isn't to be run on ,I hope they did their scouting .

It's rare that I would criticize making the third out on a play at the plate.  However, this was on a single by the 9-hole hitter, meaning that Buxton's on deck.  The ball wasn't hit very deep, so this was a "make them make the play" kind of situation, and it didn't work out too well with the runner being out by a mile.  Giving Buck a shot with men on base sounds better to me.

I'd like to say I was smart and thoughtful.  I was just listening to Plouffe discuss that Zebby didn't have control of his fastball today.  If he was going to stick around today, he needed to adjust to his off-speed offerings.

Mostly off speed that inning.

Your request will be filled in the order it was received.

I can never find the meme when I want it.  There's a cat meme where the black cat is calling the demon hotline.  The hotline answers "Your demon will be summoned in the order your call was received."

only Japanese twin -  and he was Ishy Nishy--  never forgave Terry Ryan for that move and we gave Baltimore a All star at s.s. for a couple years to play Nishioka

They're discussing how the Twins are one of the most improved teams with runners in scoring position.  They couldn't find a good reason.  My uneducated opinion is, without the 'stars' in the lineup (Correa, Lewis, Buxton at times), there is no big-time player to wait for to get the big hit, everyone needs to contribute in order for the lineup to work.

Remember last night when Gomez hit the batter with the first pitch. That would’ve been a tie game if it hadn’t hit him, they had a runner on third.

2023 left me with the conviction that if Buxton isn't healthy enough to roam CF, he isn't 100% at the plate either.  Hope he proves me wrong today, because I'm inferring it's difficult to get him to accept an IL stint.

Buxton is 6-20 with 3 doubles and 1 HR (and 1 BB and 1 HBP) since NOT going on the IL.... .300/.364/.571 (.935 OPS), he's hitting just fine.
