Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Just now, RpR said: Castro threw out Clemens on a steal, the pitcher picked Clemens off at 1st. Defense, some thing Minn. still lacks. A couple DP by our defense didn't hurt though. RpR 1
Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Ol Willi still can't lay off the high hard one 💪 Nice magic act there to avoid further damage by Zebulon. RpR 1
Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Roden.. can he keep up this pace? Cory Engelhardt 1

Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Is this the first time a Twins starter has gone four innings this spring?;

Zebby pitched well. Gave up a few soft contact hits. Some mis communication between Gray and Clemens led to one of those hits and he was the runner that scored. Ball was hit softly on the 1B side of 2B. Clemens (playing 2B) cut in front to Gray (playing SS) to field the ball and had to throw against his body. Should have been Gray's ball as his momentum is carrying him towards 1B. Attebury just said Zebby only threw 56 pitches and is now getting more work in throwing a BP session. Patzky 1

Thank you for the extra details. I guess Ober will be on a very short leash Friday. But it's time for stretching out Abel and Sim too. Chembry and Cory Engelhardt 2

Major League Ready Verified Member Posted March 5 Posted March 5 This is the 2nd time I have seen Klein this spring and his off-speed stuff looks pretty darn good to me and he has plenty of velocity. Am I being a homer / overly optimistic. He needs to spot the fastball better but does this guy have a decent chance to be part of the rebuilding the BP? Linus, Cory Engelhardt, Richie the Rally Goat and 1 other 4

Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Taj is effectively wild today. Four innings again but a nice lead even in spring training makes it easier. And while Buxton isn't there Aaron Judge isn't either. I see Lee leading off as they're looking for a leadoff guy when Buck sits. I guess Keaschall and maybe Roden and Martin (laugh.. in) but not Brooks Lee.
