It'd be easy to be impressed with Scherzer tonight--and honestly he's been pinpoint with location--but then you gotta remember Random Waiver Wire Dude shut down the Twins yesterday in Chicago.

Defense is an idea that is rejected by the Twins, which makes evaluating the pitchers nearly impossible. When I watch Ryan I see a dejected guy. We can't know what is going on within the clubhous

He’ll be 30 next season. Gotta move to a contender and get paid while he’s young enough. Nobody wants a run or two of support every game.

If he wants to be a key reason why a team wins a championship he needs to get out of here ASAP. But money talks, as we see all the time in other sports. Myles Garrett wrote many paragraphs requesting a trade from the Cleveland Browns because he can’t see winning a Super Bowl with them. But he was offered $40 million a year and weird! Now he thinks he can be a key piece to a championship team in Cleveland. 

I don’t envision the Twins offering Joe a 6/$180 million deal to make amends with him
