The Twins have a chance to gain important ground on Detroit. You betcha!

Tigers are the poster child of What If!

TBD=Twins Been Destroyed.? A new starter please. It's like having a pitcher named Walk or a batter named Outman.

The bullpen usage chart suggests Travis Adams will be the primary pitcher today, and Noah Davis should make an appearance too.

Adams had been throwing 50-68 pitches every ~5 days until the all-star break, but his usage has been irregular since -- 18 pitches in the first game after the break, then a season-high 83 pitches nine days later, and now ?? pitches today after 8 days rest.

I hope we win.

I listened to the end of last night's Detroit game. Duran shut them down in the 9th, and i was happy.

I genuinely like the players we lost; I'll always hope they do well. For 99 percent of the time.

Bobby Nightengale:

Simeon Woods Richardson, who was pushed back from his scheduled start Sunday, was placed on the 15-day IL with an illness. He was battling a stomach issue, Rocco Baldelli said.

Darren McCaughan was called up from AAA.

Eek. Well the pen just got stronger..

Chances are we will be getting a look for Abel or Bradley soon at the MLB level.

Do we have timeline on Lopez?  Ober still doesn't look healthy in last start.

TBD starting again?  Guys gotta be getting tired.

Abel  -- 5 innings zero runs,  yesterday in Toledo against Dobnak, ,  has anyone asked why he and Bradley are not in the Twins Dugout ?  IS T.B.D. Really a better option , Sick of this B.S.

I originally said Pablo out for year.  I stand by it.

That’s my preferred outcome because by then we will really have nothing to play for. But I think they will bring him back for a 2-3 start showcase if they’re going to trade him in the winter. Hope I’m wrong.

I think Pablo's return/nonreturn this season might provide a little insight into their offseason plans

If they plan on keeping him as a rotation anchor beyond this year, I could see them shelving him for precautionary purposes.

If they plan on moving him in the offseason, then surely they'll want to showcase for other teams that he's fully healthy again.

It's moot if he has a legitimate setback in recovery.  I haven't found any recent reports, but as of late July I saw he had progressed to some long toss but had not yet begun throwing off a mound.  Anyone know of some more recent reports?

This sounds about right to me.

Has Keaschall played in the field at all during his rehab assignment? Just looking for any alternative to move Julien out of 2B…

Yes he has played a few games at 2B.
