More like since the begining of the season.

Only 154 different lineups last year. Same old stuff this year. No wonder this team lacks defense and fire power. No consistency provided by the manager whatsoever.

Hey Rocco- how’s that “opener”stuff working out for you? What are we, about at a .100 winning percentage using it. Keep up the great analytics!

What did you want him to do today? Start someone on less rest? Do we think Adams pitches better, based on what we've seen at far? I'm not sure what people expected given they refused to call up Ober.

That's not just a manager thing, it's organizational - as prospects, the players are trained at multiple positions. And it's resulted in players not mastering positions and generally not being capable defensively.

As for the batting orders, there isn't a single team in baseball that consistently uses one set lineup - the Dodgers have used unique lineups in 83% of their games, the Tigers are at 85%. I imagine most teams are in between 80-95%.

Yes, this idea the Twins are outliers is always funny to me. The issue is talent, not batting order.

My issue is the lack of consistency from day to day, not just with the batting order but position play.

2026 TWINS:

Buxton - CC - Lewis - Keaschall - Jeffers aren’t going anywhere.

Larnach - Wallner - Lee are all average to below average but probably remain on roster in ‘26.

Sands - Varland - Stewart - Duran

SWR - Matthews - Festa - Ober - Ryan - Lopez (5 of these guys to open ‘26)

Seriously consider moving Jax for a position player that can play out the last two months of this year in Mpls ………C hopefully or RH hitting OF or 1B.

Coulombe, Bader, Paddack & Castro can all go and be mixed and matched to help contenders.

Paddack - Jax - Coulombe all as relievers can help contenders through October……Castro & Bader can also provide real stretch value.

As a number of people have stated at TD, probably have to combine a couple guys to get player ready value back.

Bader & Coulombe or Jax & Castro have to be attractive for a handful of clubs.

Quero (C) from Milwaukee, maybe Rushing (C) from LA……….need to fill that void. Maybe Jeffers could go to 1B next year if 2 Catchers were brought in & he could catch 10% of the time to keep him in tune for potential needs & to keep other guys fresh? Bring in one via trade now and one via FA signing this winter.

If Team sweeps Red Sox they still need to go 33-21, to get close to a Wildcard spot, from August 1st forward. That’s 36-21 starting tomorrow. Maybe a 10–15% chance of that happening? …… that’s if Keaschall helps a bunch and Ober & Lopez are flawless down the stretch.

1/2% chance of that happening.

CC, Jeffers, Vazquez, Buxton, Lewis, France only play one position. That leaves the corner OF where Wallner only plays right and Larnach left. You seem to think Bader and Castro and Lee moving around makes it hard for everyone to play?

Great point. Of the three players playing multiple positions, two are playing exceptionally well. Add in Clemens and the argument keeps falling apart.

So, we're just using this as a Brooks Lee excuse? Maybe he's just not good enough, or just not mature enough at 24?

This team has been listless for a long time.  It hasn't done the Twins much good to horde many of these can't miss prospects.  They missed.  They have regressed and now have hurt their trade value.  Why are we afraid to break up this core?  They haven't done much for 4 years.  It's time to move some players and get a real manager while they are at it.

This team has become a laughing stock losing to both the Rockies and the Nationals. Time to be honest about players like Wallner and Lee. They can't play Wallner in RF because he is a liability with his glove. He really should be back in St Paul. And putting Lee at 2nd has been a bad idea. He has shown his reactions aren't there. Hopefully they get Keaschall back today to play 2nd. Also time for Martin to play LF if Buxton is down. That means Keirsey in CF if Bader is gone.
