I absolutely loved the broadcasts! The stories and good-natured ribbing was fun to hear. There was also a lot of insight as to what they thought the pitcher would throw, the batters thought process, base stealing, hit and run etc... As for not knowing what was going on in the game all you had to do was watch your television screen. Baseball isn't that difficult to understand.

Oh my he has a - 4 OAA. And just how many of those OAA’s have scored or led to more runs being scored. Twins Daily is embedded with nothing but negative writers who expect every damn player to be perfect. Larnach is a decent outfielder with a good bat. Too bad this writer could not name any specific game(s) where Larnach’s defense cost us a win. Oh, by the way, Buxton’s speed and arm strength is down, Lee shouldn’t be at third base because his throws are only 87 mph where they need to be 88.8 mph, Ober’s velocity has dropped 4 mph, Keaschall isn’t hitting home runs, etc.etc.etc. Enough is enough! Since when has any team played an All Star at every position in even one game.

Rebuild? You can't be serious! The Twins got almost NOTHING in their fire sale of top relief pitchers last year. What makes anybody think trading their best players this year will be any different. In order to rebuild you need a foundation. You don't trade two or three of your best players. You build around them. Especially when you don't have a clue how to make a decent trade.

The run LA scored in the first inning never should have scored. Yes, Edman hit the ball hard but Keaschall should have made the play. He only needed two steps to his right to get to the ball but then he let the ball play him. At a minimum he should have knocked the ball down and kept it in the infield. Had he played it properly it would have been out #3.

The pitch calls are coming in from the dugout to the catcher.

Here is a unique idea- how about you let the catcher call the pitches from behind the plate instead of the manager from the dugout. The catcher has a much better idea of the pitcher's stuff during the game than the manager. Case in point - last night after Ryan gave up 3 runs in 1 2/3 innings his headpiece quit working. At that point Caratini started calling pitches. Ryan pitched a scoreless 4 1/3 innings after that. I realize it's just a small sample size but with all the problems we are having with our bullpen perhaps it's time to put all the over analysis on pitch selection from the bench on hold and let the catcher call the game.

Just like Baldelli we seem to have another manager who has no clue whatsoever how to manage a pitching staff. Seven pitchers last night - seven. There was no need to use 7 pitchers.

Brooks Lee is Built for the Big Moment
Maybe Next Year replied to Sam Caulder's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Gee- just a month and a half ago the majority of the posters and writers on this web page said Lee was a bust. No defense, no offense. Send him down, 😂 -
Good grief! His bat speed has increased but is still too slow, he extends his right arm too quick, he rotate a hair too early, his contact point is too far back, he’s not hitting for power, blah, blah, blah. How about this - his strikeout rate is 18%. That means he is putting the ball in play. I don’t care if he ever hits a home run. Singles and doubles would be just fine. If his batting average is .270 or higher and he drives in 80 or more runs who gives a damn. All this emphasis on hitting home runs is ridiculous. It is and has been detrimental to many players.

After reading this article I am left wondering how he ever made it to the majors. With all the “flaws” he has it doesn’t sound like there is any hope whatsoever for him to be a good pitcher. - no horizontal movement on his fastball -can’t get to the bottom of the zone - easy for batters to spot his breaking ball unexceptional carry on his fastball -low strike out rate - change up thrown at different arm angle and arm speed - uses a circle change grip There is no hope for this guy! 😂😂😂

Omg- what will we ever do about Ober. Velocity is way down. Get rid of him. He’s washed up. His OBP, WHIP, LGBTQ, XXMP, FRPG, BS, and numerous other stats are horrible!

Week in Review: Bullpen Blues
Maybe Next Year replied to Nick Nelson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I'm certain that most everybody on Twins Daily will rip me a new one for this comment. Byron Buxton, David Ortiz and Nelson Cruz are just a few major leaguers whose career got off to a slow start. Yes, Lewis has been disappointing but it is way too early to give up on him. The talent is there.- 31 replies

Do those stats take into consideration that your hitters are going up against the ace of the opposing team? I highly doubt it. A runner on 3rd has more ways to score than just a hit. Passed ball, wild pitch, infield or outfield error, sac fly, suicide or safe squeeze. I'll take my chances on 1 out and a runner on 3rd. Especially when my team is facing the other teams ace and our bats are cold.

So Shelton laments the Twins were 1-12 with runners in scoring position. Hey Derek, our only run was scored on a sacrifice fly. We had runners on first and second with no outs 3 times. Maybe if you would have played some small ball and actually bunted runners to 2nd and 3rd we might have had a chance. But no, let's swing away and hit into double play after double play. I was hoping when Rocco was fired we would finally get a manager who knew how to manage a game. I guess not.

Hey, what more can you expect when every writer of most every article on this site want to jettison Lewis, Lee, Wallner, Jeffries etc. etc..., Of course they aren't going to provide the entire picture.

So let me get this straight. The Twins supposedly have one of the best farm systems in baseball, consistently ranked in the 10 or better. We traded away 10 players last year for more prospects. Now you want us to trade away our best pitcher for even more prospects. Is the goal to maintain a top level farm system at the cost of the MLB club? Hang on to Ryan and let’s bring up some of these youngsters and see what they can do. We don’t need more prospects.

OMG- Wallner sucks, Lee sucks, Lewis sucks, Buxton sucks, everybody on the roster sucks! Enough of this nonsense! Enough of all the stats and analyzing things to death. Before we toss everybody into the trash let’s see what a new manager with a new perspective and vision can do to get the most out of these players. Lord knows Baldelli hadn’t a clue how to develop players. Maybe, just maybe Shelton does.

I've gotta laugh at most of the posts on this site. A few years back everybody was singing the praises of Lewis and Lee and now, after just a few years under a horsecrap manager everybody is giving up on them. Let's play them every day and keep their place in the batting order consistent and see what happens. Good grief! Once again all those analytics are replacing common sense. Oh my, bat angle at contact is 2* too high. Putting the ball in play but not being rewarded with hits is absolutely horrible. Over and over things are being analyzed way too much. Enough of the nonsense.
