knothole61 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 Have the waters parted? Time will tell, but good for you Lewis. It had become agonizing to watch your at bats, and now I'm relieved for both of us. I should probably duck when I write this, but I think that there is a wellspring of excellence inside of Lewis that may (and may not) find its way to the surface again. During the 0-30 stretch they kept talking about his stance and swing, etc., but to me the only great impediment to Lewis was in his mind--his increasing lack of confidence and impatience to regain success. How great would it be to have his bat back? Schmoeman5, Hosken Bombo Disco and glunn 3
Chris Hove Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 Just like that, Alcala's ERA is under seven now. Parfigliano, David HK and glunn 2 1

Chris Hove Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 To be totally honest, Alcala has the stuff to be a good reliever. He has a live fastball, and good break on his offspeed stuff, but he can never locate, and throws behind in the count too much. Ottomatic1990, glunn, David HK and 2 others 5
Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 Dare to send Alcala out for the ninth? Parfigliano and glunn 2

Chris Hove Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 Wow, Little League at bats for the A's in the 9th. Nasty slider and then fastball at the head of a swinging A's batter from Alcala. Patzky and David HK 2
