Pope or not. that looked more like a football score! Absolutely brutal. Looks like the Rockies are trying to be worse than last year's White Sox. Fatbat 1

jorgenswest Verified Member Posted May 11, 2025 Posted May 11, 2025 That Vazquez play was outstanding. The ninth inning double play was so big too. We have learned this year that a pitcher’s throw to a base isn’t a certainty. That throw was spot on for the double play. Doctor Wu, rdehring and wabene 2 1

In and of itself it was just a really good pickoff play, but it was an outstanding play because it was the punctuation mark on the game; don't even think about scoring another run in this game. I keep replaying the highlight because it's so fun. rdehring, Doctor Wu and jorgenswest 3

In their 5 games they've played each other this year, the Padres have won all of them by an average score of 10-2. And 4 of those games the Rockies were shutout. Fatbat 1

David Maro Verified Member Posted May 11, 2025 Posted May 11, 2025 They have been playing baseball for 7 games finally. The base running has been good except for Castro that could have been game changing. This type of at bats seems to be all across baseball. The manager and coaches really need to really get after the players to get out of the box and run. They can celebrate all they want once they are safe on the base. It's a good thing Lewis made the play late at 3rd because his at bats look really bad. Every at bat he looks over matched. Blyleven2011 1

rdehring Verified Member Posted May 11, 2025 Posted May 11, 2025 Hell of a game. Will say that again, hell of a game. Really enjoyed it. Sure hope that the real Twins are closer to this team than the team we saw throughout April. Please? Had a thought when we were all commenting on that post ten or so days ago after Falvey said he had no idea what to do. Kept thnking that on paper this should be a good team. Was wondering if they could play their last 100+ games much like their first 100+ last year. If the answer is yes, they will be in the playoffs. Still too early to say yes, but maybe?
