Whatever....Your "Exercise" is one of futility. You MAY be able to pry their top catching prospect from Triple A, but I stand by my statement - I do not believe Contreras is available. You can ramble on for several more paragraphs if you wish. FWIW.

Two Very Different Roads Forward for Twins Roster After Pohlad Family Ownership Decision

With so many middle infield prospects on the horizon I would encourage Royce Lewis to get comfortable with a first baseman's glove. This especially when you look at possible free agent options...

In terms of the Brewers - And I watch a lot of them here in Madison - Several factors have fallen into place in terms of this year's success. Several of their younger players have developed in terms of their plate discipline and performance - And not just Chourio. Most, if not all, can RUN. Yelich - While not playing to the level of previous seasons - Is at least approaching that level. Misiorowski has emerged in fairly dominant fashion though he struggled last night. Peralta has pitched like an Ace. Woodruff has surpassed all expectations in his return from a career threatening injury. Quintana has surprised. Megill has been great in the Closer's role after the team traded Devin Williams to the Yankees. I could go on... Point is - Just like there are many moving pieces to a single game of baseball - The same complexity of naturally extends to the season as well. The "Brewer Way" is not a simple recipe to be emulated or copied and more specifically is it really even relevant...The market they compete in includes the Cubs and Cardinals which are larger than their own. This year has obviously been successful effort. Lots of managerial comments have been made about the Twins. Keep in mind Counsell bolted for Chicago a few seasons ago. It seems while Milwaukee's success in pertinent by proximity - The teams we should most be concerned about are the ones in our own division and similar in market size. With Twin's ownership - The New Boss is the same as the Old Boss...But this is not happening within a vacuum. The Twin's Media has already begun critique and analysis. This site and fandom in general are skeptical and critical. The product is on the field for observation and grading. Time will tell if claims of being competitive ring true or hollow. Pohlad ownership seems to be at fork in the road. With the new partners will direction change...Attanasio has faced criticism for his wallet and decisions in Wisconsin as well. Now we sing his praises...How quickly things can change??!! Win Twins!!

I'm really beginning to wonder if Marek Houston has consciously attempted a "Hit To Contact" approach with the belief that occasional power will naturally evolve. He was an "RBI Machine" his last year and a half in college via that modality. That duality should pair more than adequately with the performance of his glove. So far - So good.... Still think Simeon is going to be a valuable component long term to the Twin's pitching staff given better culinary habits...

It's Back to the Drawing Board at Shortstop for the Minnesota Twins

I look at the SS situation as a prime time tryout for Lee. Up until this point he came into every game not sure where his glove would play. Now that he has been penciled into the "6" spot on a regular basis we should see the positive attributes as well as deficiencies he brings to the field. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders and with his dad as coach background he appears up to the task...Perhaps his bat will "Relax" a bit as well. Time will tell. In regard to the Shortstop position overall - It seems to me that the offensive numbers are down league wide. No player off the top of my head seems to be tearing it up in terms of HR, RBI, BA etc...Truism or just my imagination??? Win Twins!!

Hatch was very impressive mixing his pitches with good control and velocity. Ohl needs to have pinpoint control as his velocity is not that strong at this point. Keaschall was impressive with bat, glove and legs. A lot of pop in the bats this game...

I truly don't get the concern for his hitting ability. The guy was an RBI machine for his team in college this past season...His glove is not impeccable, but should easily play. The guy seems like a player!!

Jax, Ryan, Pablo, and Ober...The one pitch all have in common not mentioned within the young and talented Bradley's repertoire is the Sweeper. Seems like the Minnesota Pitching Staff have been very successful in helping institute that pitch and playing it off of the fastball. Perhaps Tampa has tinkered in this manner with Taj - Perhaps not. But what if....His physical talent and ability have been well documented. He had a pectoral injury in 2023 that put him on the IL briefly, but has been durable. Tampa and Milwaukee are prime examples of developing talent thru the draft as well as acquisition. Both have had success, but a few hiccups as well. Joe Ryan came to us via the Rays in a trade. Here's to hoping for lightning in a bottle twice!! Win Twins.

Now that the smoke has cleared - My apologies to all those suffering thru poor wildfire poor air quality - It will be intriguing watching these catching prospects develop in the Twins minor league system. The cupboard was far from bare prior to the deadline, but the doors are now ready to burst...As they pair with some of the existing and now new pitching prospects within system development will be fascinating.

MATC to be exact...I believe he played under the last banner of that title - Now Madison College. He came from Menominee Falls if I'm not mistaken. I have been following the 21 y/o Leftie as well and hoping for good things!!
