I'm really interested to see how KOC is going to deal with blitzes tonight. It's pretty clear that the all-out blitzes that Detroit sent were tough to deal with. But other teams - Arizona in particular - had real success on blitzing up the middle. With their good edge rushers, any pressure up the middle will be difficult to escape from. KOC might need to call more plays that don't have our receivers taking so much time to develop.

That would be great.

But every time the Vikings attempt a screen pass, the OL are standing around confused with no clue who they are supposed to block. I know the actual blocking of the interior guys draws the most frustration, but these guys also look aimless when they're out in space. I think replacing the OL coach needs to be a priority this off season.

Is this a real question? Beat the Rams. The Twins might not make the playoffs next year (or might), but the Vikings are in the post season.

They may not blitz as much.  Their front four is known for creating pressure on their own.  They'll blitz, but I'd be surprised if it was anything more than an average amount.

I expect that after the passing attack watched the film last week - Darnold especially - that they'll be licking their chops to wash that taste out of their mouth.

I hope Darnold's takeaway was that he has guys to throw to.  He can take what's there and big game hunt when the time is right.

Well, sure. But you and I completely disagree on what was "there" in the first place. But he's had bad games before and bounced back. Ideally, he has a great game for us tonight.

do you mean signing him 10-12 years down the road, after his first couple contracts are done, and he's trying to make a comeback?
