Has to make you wonder what exactly is going through the mind with the lineup construction today.  Jeffers batting 4th?  Having both catchers in the lineup?  Yeah, when Jeffers was hitting well in April, that was ok to risk that.  Now, not even close.  Where's Larnach?  Why is Margot in CF when we know he can't play out there?  Just another cog in the Mystery Machine.

It’s only going to get worse too, sadly. The push for maximum velocity is being taught all throughout youth baseball. Kids are gonna have 2 Tommy John surgeries before they’re ever considered a draft prospect.

The HBP count just keeps increasing.  The Miranda hit-by-pitch makes 75 for the season, and he had to leave the game.  MLB commissioner Rob Manfred needs to address this.  It is really frustrating as a long-time Twins fan to witness our chances of chasing down the Guardians being derailed in this way.

Knock a batter out with a hbp to the head - lose your DH.  Then that pitcher has to hit.  It would dramatically reduce hbp in games.  Right now, it is advantage pitcher if he knocks out a star player.
