I sure hope AI came up with this trash. Why would the Twins be thinking about trading Matt Wallner right now? The rest of the list combined wouldn't get you back a player that would be able to help in the majors this season.

A bad idea would for the Twins to go shopping for players they can't control beyond this season. Too many injuries and too many holes to be considered a playoff threat.

They just won 2 of 3 from teh best team in the majors, w/o their 3 best hitters....they are no threat?

I assume that only Bal and NYY are then in the AL?

I'm curious who the Twins have as upcoming minor league free agents, or who is eligible for the Rule 5 (most of the AAA organizational guys, and Sabato at AA fer sure) that could be dangled in trade. Saw Puk exchanged teams, for two mid-level prospects, one needing a 40-man add in the off season eprhaps.

I think Julien and Kiriloff were the chips they expected to have value coming into the year but now selling either is selling very low.

E-Rod is moveable for good pitching to me but its going to take a lot of filler to make him the main piece.

Wallner could be an interesting trade piece but it feels like they need to hold onto lefties.

I am just not sure they have easily moveable stuff to get a top of the rotation arm, and if they aren't getting that they probably aren't contending, which leads to why are you trading the future to boost a down year.

By all means go get a Kikuchi or even Evoaldi if the price is ok, but I am not sure they move the needle enough to warrant the capital spent.  Might be best to just trade on the margins for a reliable lefty in the pen and a vet arm to eat innings and hope for the best.

I wouldn't be opposed to selling Kepler or Santana either.

Has any team in the history of baseball ever had it's entire roster healthy at the same time?

That also means we won't be going against another team totally healthy.. And what's to insure the guys we trade for don't get hurt.

There is exactly one name on that entire list which has any trade value. Matt Wallner, and it would likely be a colossal mistake to trade him, IMHO.
*Severino - He might have a little value. a24, AAA wRC+ 113 on the season.

DFA guys
*Farmer - DFA in waiting. He's cooked, at least in Minnesota. There are too many players on the Twins' roster to keep Farmer for a late inning defensive replacement or occasional slap single PH. Good guy, but being a good clubhouse guy fans can relate to doesn't keep you on the team on its own.

Non-tender guys
*Kirilloff, might as well DFA. Non-tender guys aren't bringing anything back.
*Winder - Zero value here. I thought Winder was going to turn into a mid rotation arm, maybe even better a couple years ago. Huge fan of his, but I think his shoulder troubles finally caught up to his stuff. He hasn't been the same as he was so his projectability has dropped. He's almost certainly getting non-tendered this offseason as he's out of options after this year.
*Henriquez - No value here. Never had any when the Rangers tossed him in with the Garver trade to clear space on their 40 man. Adequate bullpen depth, but no options beyond this year.
*Canterino, if a team feels like they need more guys on their 60 man IL, Canterino's your guy. I think he's also a non-tender candidate, but maybe a little less-so because there's maybe some hope left still in regard to his talent and he's got options. Still, he hasn't pitched a single competitive inning since July 30th, 2022, and he only has 34.1 innings above the low minors at age 24.
