I think it's Roy Smalley on the telecast?  He explained carefully that the main job of a left-handed reliever is to get lefties out.  Kind of a hot take but he does have the in-game experience.

Which is really why I hope Funderburk is sent down. They're not getting rid of Okert or Thielbar and I can't see value in a short-handed bullpen having three lefties.
