He almost had to with the way the ump is giving Strohman the low and outside pitch.....

Very true!

It was a second or two past. I am sure Baldelli has gotten the slack a couple of times, too. The point is, they got it right. Jeffers was out and it was called wrong. It shouldn't have been called wrong in the first place. I hope we can beat the Yankees because we beat them and not cry about something like that, which needed corrected.

Really?  So now there's some "slack" in the rule???  I understand your point, but if you're gonna allow "slack" you're opening up a can of worms.....

No runs on 7 hits since Jeffers' leadoff homer last night.  Suffice it to say that's not good at all.

And as noted, can't blame it on the lineup tonight. Can't chalk it up to a good opposing pitcher.

I can remember Baldelli being late before too, and getting the challenge, and the call being overturned. But yes, best to get all the calls correct that you can, and let the players decide the game, and not the umpiring.

Making Stroman look like a Cy Young pitcher tonight.   AARGH.

Starting to look like we're back to the recent days of the anemic offense.  UGH

5 pitches that inning 😳

Things like that happen when you have an offense as feeble as ours is.

6 innings, 3 earned for Lopez. A certified "quality start". HAHAHA!

Does a pitcher lose a quality start, if they have it through 6, but come back out and pitch longer, and give up more runs?

But it was Lopez against the Yankees. Lopez only had to throw 5 pitchers in the 6th.

Twins pitching raises Judge's average twenty some points in one game. 3 doubles and a homer. Damn

Castro. Again. Feet stuck in cement as an easily catchable ball sails over his head.

He should have been removed in the second inning. But accountability is old school and not part of new baseball

Okay, I've seen about as much of this crap as I can handle for one night.

They seemingly can't do anything right tonight.

Castro shouldn't even be playing center. Our best center fielder right now is........ Kepler.

Margot sucks, too. This year, maybe worse. This is what the brain trust thought was best. This is the team they designed, with the back end of the bullpen and no plan B for center, and they leave DaShawn Keirsey, a true center fielder that is raking, in St. Paul. Get rid of Margot. Just release him. And try Keirsey.

Nice thing by living in our time zone.  I can head down to the local LL fields and watch some decent play with far more effort.

Margot would be better than Castro.
