Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2024 Posted April 24, 2024 People say it can be worse with a random minor leaguer in place of Santana, but can it, really? It's hard to see how.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 24, 2024 Posted April 24, 2024 Castro through Vázquez are 28-199 with 2 homers and 11 RBI. I'm pretty certain there are pitchers who could do better. wabene, USAFChief and Mike Sixel 3

gil4 Verified Member Posted April 24, 2024 Posted April 24, 2024 Trying to figure out what that appeal could have been. They said "leaving early" but there was not caught fly ball. Maybe they thought he retreated past 1B and then didn't touch it on the advance. Edit to add: Maybe they were supposed to appeal at 2nd, but got their signals crossed.

Not a good call by Provus to say the runner may have left early. mrtwinsfan and gil4 2
