But they matter less if we are up by more games by winning this one. Like that isnt hard to see haha

You dont dont punt by throwing a guy 2 innings in a tie game when normally he throws only when up or down by 7.

That is awful managing that not a single other manager does.

You're just going to ignore the state of the pen, aren't you?

I'm no Rocco apologist, but his options are limited today, and Maeda did him no favors.

They are in the process of getting Louie ready for reliever work in the bigs. I've been thinking of would be wise to have him debut in that role against a little softer lineup than this one.

I can say this now that we are done with them for a while at least....  I'm not blown away by this Rangers lineup.  Three monsters but a lot of decent the rest of the way.   Josh Jung is a big missing piece.

State of the pen??

They all threw like 10 pitches yesterday and only 3 of them pitched friday. We had Thursday off.

Basically only Duran should be 100% avoided today.

But those are the options. What's your answer? Not Martin. Not Williams. Not Carmago. Not Lee. Not Varland. Those are the actual options.

I already said "sure try Varland."

But he has 80 innings of big league experience to judge from and he's got no history of short relief.

So i dont think he's gonna be any kind of answer.

The answer is to not ignore the pen over every winter

And we all think  we have Bullpen issues ,  how about Texas,

No joke, I think they've blown more saves this year than they've converted and I think that's 2 BS in this game? 🤣

The state of the pen is all about the next three games.  Sands might get to finish this regardless of outcome.

But right now it's not. We aren't in the office season.. What's your answer for Gallo and Luplow?

Lewis is putting the team on his back. Without him, we're doing nothing.

Yup. Reminds me of what Kirby used to do. And as he becomes one of the more experienced players, he can be the leader of this team!

Kirilloff and MAT. Maybe Buxton.

2 days ago they had 26 saves and 26  Blown saves,  even crazier they had the best e.r.a. for starters in Aug.

MAT is out for ten days. Buxton can't run. How long will you keep Luplow on the roster?

Until there's a better option.
