The score might also have had something to do with it, pretty lopsided in favor of the Cheese Crew.
That said, the man banged another double into the left power alley in the bottom of the 6th, OPS now .927.

So happy to see Nelson Cruzin and off to a good start this season.   A Class act.   Great ice cream truck driver line...the unis kind of grow on you after awhile.  Like the Wichitia Wind Surge alternate unfiorms (Turbo Tubs) did for me last year.

Ugh! terrible, no wonder SD isn't doing much even with the players they have (it's hard to get respect with those unis). Nellie has been proving many people wrong. Keep it up.

Can you imagine the reaction of a player in the 1950's being outfitted in a pastel abomination such as that? It would be about the same as the scene in the movie Slap Shot in which the players were asked to model for a fashion show. (I'd like to link the video but it contains language that's inappropriate for this setting.) To me the powder blue kick a lot of teams went on during the 1970's was almost as bad. That's why I'm glad our team discontinued them before this season; I wish they had never been revived in the first place.

"The apparel oft proclaims the man". Shakespeare in "The Tragedy of Hamlet"...or as Mark Twain wrote: "Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society."  The colors kind of remind me of the "Miami Vice" beginning theme.

Squirrel, I wish I had not opened your attachment. I quickly deleted it. LOL. This is my attempt to be funny.  But the dancing players were strange to me. We never did that on my high school wrestling or baseball teams.

Why? Group of guys having fun in the clubhouse. Seems the piñatas are a thing in the Padres clubhouse as I've seen clips with others, but this was the one in their city connect uniforms.

I guess you are right. I remember jumping around with some of my army buddies while drinking at the NCO club in South Korea, before the fight  between my company ( Charlie Company), and B Company, broke out. That was  the most fun I had in 16 months in Korea. What a fun night.
