sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 Dear Santa, I have tried to be good. I didn't make fun of Sano when he struck out a bunch. I didn't yell and curse when Royce Lewis got injured again. I even tried not to miss the Austudillo antics. I have followed Twins baseball games as much as i could, given all the things i try to get done. I've even remembered to write game thread intros. Perhaps they have been a little week in actual game info. I don't even know if Judge caught up to Arraez in the batting race. So please Anyway, since i have been oh so good, and i still don't know what i should ask for, as my stocking isn't large enough to fit a fully healthy Buxton season, or a good veteran free agent signing with leadership. Can you at least give me an exciting game to follow today, and a good thread with lots if people contributing? Even if there might be a few jokes from Chief sprinkled amongst them? May the best team win! Twins: 0. Joe Ryan (R) P 1. Jose Miranda (R) 1B 2. Carlos Correa (R) SS 3. Gio Urshela (R) 3B 4. Gary Sanchez (R) DH 5. Ryan Jeffers (R) C 6. Gilberto Celestino (R) CF 7. So i guess there are no consequences for disappointing me.

Old time Twinkie47 Verified Member Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 I dont want to see any talk of a batting title if they wont play him against a left hander. You think Judge would sit out against a right handed pitcher no way.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 Of course, it's the two guys hitting ~.100 who produce the first hits and a run! Must be opposite day.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 Palacios on base with a single, Contreras drives him in with a double. Whoever took that prop bet at their local sports book probably earned a lot of money just now.
Doctor Gast Verified Member Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 I think we got our miracle. Contreras hitting Palacios in with a double yet! Do we dare for more?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted October 1, 2022 Posted October 1, 2022 When Celestino GDPd, I checked league GDP stats. No surprise at all, but the Twins rank dead last in the AL in grounding into double plays.

PDX Twin Verified Member Posted October 1, 2022 Posted October 1, 2022 Have the Twins started stealing bases over the last two weeks because the games don't matter any more, or because they have finally brought up some players who are faster than tortugas?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted October 1, 2022 Posted October 1, 2022 Cave isn't a great player, but he might end up with more RBIs than Celestino in less than half the plate appearances.

I respect Caves ability alot more than Celestinos, Gilbert needs alot more seasoning and it shouldnt be done at this level,

Wallner and Palacios are double digit base stealers in the minors this year. And we added Billy Hamilton. Our main players during the year are either not base stealers or injuries didn't let them steal (Buxton and Polanco). You would think Gordon would steal bases but he seems be a split second too slow and gets caught stealing as much as he makes it. I think the 4.5" shorter difference next year should especially help him.

Definition of Speed regarding twins this year, we have hit into the most Double plays and gotta be close to last in Stolen bases , also, == Not Good

His 100% is not as high as some of the more talented Twins, but we get it every game, every inning, and every pitch.

IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted October 1, 2022 Posted October 1, 2022 Celestino got an RBI hit. How about that!
RpR Verified Member Posted October 1, 2022 Posted October 1, 2022 Why does Celestino jump when he catches the ball?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted October 1, 2022 Author Posted October 1, 2022 xmas cam early for me, eh?
