Perhaps as soon as 2023.

One can hope.

Or if one just enjoys a good game without all those expectations that come with standings, maybe even tonight.

Sometimes nothing can be a pretty cool hand.

I suggest the AAA version of the Twins just get on the plane and go home; this is embarassing. Rocco just keeps throwing random players on the field, but doesn't actually adjust to anything. No bunts, no steals, and he still manages to ef up the bullpen choices. Can't stand that guy or his fake serenity.

The Twins may want to revisit their approach in the off season; scrap the "analytics or die" approach, especially when you are not playing with your stars; play small ball like most small market teams do to get to the playoffs...a couple of guys name Kelly and Gardenhire could tell you about it.  On the injury front,  the majority of these injuries we have been saddled with are not bad luck, just poor conditioning and training. Time to clean house and that includes Rocco, all strength and conditioning staff including the trainers, Pete Maki and Popkins...goodbye. I hope Wes is happy down in the Bayou.. btw, what a shitey thing to do.  Players? bye Pagan, maybe quit praying on the mound for 10 minutes before your starts or find a different higher power that actually helps you pitch better. Lopez has lost all trust, next topic. Might as well have kept Duffey. Miranda is overrated, but he's just a rookie, not his fault..he hits into inning ending double plays on a regular basis...and he's too short to play 1st base. Nick Gordon is a defensive liability no matter where he plays in the field, cocky and entitled...also, he is not good enough to be arrogant. A little humility might serve him well.  Kepler wasn't hitting long before his "injury". Just beating the ball into the ground game after game; zero adjustments made on a consistent basis, Might be time for Buxton to retire, talent beyond comparison, but his body was not built for this game...I like Urshela, hope we keep him.

Correa will not want to come back after this disaster and I don't blame him...my season ticket package includes the last games with the Sox, I'm fairly sure those wont be meaningful games..

But i'm pretty sure that is not how Oh Danny [B]oy normally is sung.

Also, i keep listening, and don't hear the tub.

Which perhaps is a good thing. Someone might think it denotes an off speed pitch coming, and we'd get in trouble.

You speak truth.  The front office and coaching staff needs to be cleaned out completely. I would also say with Jorge Lopez, he has alot of things going on in his life off the field, so I am guessing those things are probably impacting his play on the field. But the rest of what you say rings true. Especially Gordon. He is a likeable player but makes too many boneheaded plays defensively and admires his long flies too much rather than hustling out of the box. Hopefully the shift rules will benefit Kepler next season, Urshela needs to be signed to an extension. A month ago I would have guessed Correa would stick around for a second year because his production was bad but he is starting to heat up, and I think that will boost his market this offseason.

What is the Jorge Lopez  off field stuff? I can't find anything about it, but that would explain a few things

He and my wife were classmates as children and we keep up with him on Instagram, he has a son with a chronic medial condition called FMF that requires him to carry a backpack to receive nutritional type infusions and needs an intestinal transplant. It's a pretty rough situation, his son seems to be doing better and just started back to school but I am sure that it definitely can be distracting when you have a kid waiting for a donor.

Ok thanks. That's unfortunate.

Yes it is, he is a really great guy and a good guy to root for to succeed. He has had struggles since the trade, I think he will turn it around with the Twins.

Thanks for the info. We sometimes forget the person behind the athlete.

Does anyone think correia will be back next year.  I think this last month has soured him on a return.

I would say no.  It will depend on other offers but he may want to get off this team bad enough to settle for a little less.  He most likely has enough money to last him for a lifetime.

Question:   Do owners get money back when a player goes on the IL?

Could be something in a contract to do with playing time, but I don't know

I think this lead for Cleveland may be insurmountable tonight.

I still had hope this morning, but if we lose these 2. I will be tapping out until 2023

I thought it was some type of insurance.   But do not have any idea how much the recoup if anything.

Pretty much the only reason I'm still following this team is Arraez chasing the batting title and obviously Jorge Lopez

Arraez will be folding like a highway map.  He may struggle to stay over .300.  His fly balls to centerfield are getting a little boring.

You think Luis can do it?

He's got a really good shot but he's been slumping alot lately. He needs to work the count more and stop swinging at the first pitch so much

Yep I agree. His pop up/ fly balls to LF aren't going to do it
