Emerging star he is.....

Yeah personally I didn't think much of him but I'm pretty confident now I was completely wrong.

It all looks pretty legit to me.

There's been too many half season flash-in-the-pans to count (my personal fave is Bobby Darwin) but this seems legit.

I dont think he'll ever have a great OBP but the bat to ball skills are top notch, and he'll hit for some power.

Miranda just continues to hit.

Got a little Puckett in him in that he swings at pretty much anything and everything…and you’d think pitchers would take advantage of that, but so far, no.

Yeah, HBD could add Bobby to his handle. Not to mention Willie.

And I was bummed when they traded Bobby D for Briggs.

Willie Norwood??  If so, that flash was more like a half MONTH. And the month was February.

Looking up Darwin's page, I'd forgotten that he started out as a pitcher. He actually came up as a 19-year-old for the second year of the Angels (from wherever) in 1962, and didn't scatter eight hits and four walks very well in 3.1 innings in his only appearance. He was sent back down and eventually got back up for three games with the Dodgers in 1969 and then made the switch to the outfield a couple years later. The Twins were the first team to give him a full shot in the outfield in 1972, and he played 145+ games in three straight seasons before getting traded in the middle of 1975.

Check out his Mar/April 1972 splits.

That was back before I understood the concept of "regression."

Shutout wins tonight for the Twins, Guardians and White Sox.  Mahle, Urshela, Miranda and Duran were all fantastic tonight.

Woke up and checked the score. Nice win. One of the best things about the 2022 Twins is that the have avoided long losing skids. That said, it is past time for a nice winning week or two (or three). Lots of home games after they get back from LA.

My vote -- leave Mahle in to at least start the 7th, he got thru the  #4 hitter, and his season stats say he is better thiird  time thru than the 2nnd

No thanks, he was starting to get drubbed in the 6th.
