So if a reliever comes in with a big lead, say 6 runs, does he still get credit for a hold if he gives up 3 runs?

A "hold" goes to a pitcher who comes in with a save situation in place and leaves with the save situation still in place.

Yeah they weren’t good. I generally dislike the guest commentators. They rarely really know the teams they’re coving. That crew had the feeling of a Saturday afternoon college football game between Illinois and rutgers
