Well played...

I liked this under protest, however!

I generally refrain from discussing my NFL allegiance. I accept that this is Vikings country, but I couldn’t help myself on that one

I haven't watched the NFL in over a decade, but I still have my standards! :)

Seems. Like a twingo is virtually assured for you!

I don’t expect you to, but it’s been a running joke over the last week or so.

No excuse! LOL

Turns out extra base hits are legal

For this team you mean?

Seems like they've been legal for others for some time.

I wonder if Baldelli is adapting the "putin method?"   It's where you brag about yourself, then start off badly, hoping to finally dominate.  The domination part is a work in progress, though.

I don't know if Larnach hit the ball hardest of all the Twins, but he probably should have gotten a few more hits. Come to think of it, maybe he did! Everyone seemed to be hitting with pool noodles.

It's tough to hide Jeffers, Kepler and Sano at the same time. You can see Baldelli is trying to space them out, but it might be better at this point to bat them 7-8-9 and just forfeit those innings and play for runs when the other guys are up.

the twins have now scored in only THREE of their last THIRTY innings. I’m not a big analytics guy, but I don’t think that’s very good

Did anyone mention if the Twins offered a reason for Buxton not being out of the lineup? How about Sanchez?

I haven't heard a peep about it.

Buxton slipped on the dugout steps, straining his back.  Sanchez tried to break his fall and tore his quad.  Details and film on the Twins postgame/WebMd Show.

Per LEN 3 in the Strib:

"Byron Buxton is sitting out today after DHing on Thursday. It's a planned day off as Buxton recovers from a knee injury.

Gary Sanchez is a late scratch. He was to start at catcher and hit seventh. Miguel Sano was ninth as the DH, but will move to seventh with Ryan Jeffers catching and hitting ninth. Leadoff man Luis Arraez is playing first base."
