Nothin's bothering Eddie right now.  I just hope Buxton watched and Woke up to realize there are greener pastures out there.  For his sake, I really hope he follow's Eddie's lead and get's the hell out of Dodge!

Congrats to him and old friend Ehire Adrianza. Pretty anti-climactic game 6 to win it all. Baseball is over, and now the ugliness of CBA negotiations begin.

Didn't see it posted here yet, but Adrianza actually went on paternity leave yesterday and was replaced on the roster. (Not that he was likely to see action in games 6 or 7, anyway with the DH.) He'll still get his ring, of course!

Happy for Eddie and Ehire.  That Braves team was the second to last team I had for winning the WS.  I only had Chicago's chances as lower.  Hard to believe almost every deadline move they made worked out with guys having bad years.  Just mind boggling really that plus the tough injuries they faced just blows my mind that they won it all.

Houston just didn't have the pitching to get it done in the end.  They didn't hit consistently enough either.  Happy for Atlanta but have to admit I didn't see it coming.

Eddie makes baseball fun and he got me to watch some great baseball during the World Series after more-or-less opting out of an entire season of Twins baseball.

I'm so happy for him. Maybe this was the peak, but I hope he gets to cash in and ride this success. I hope he's found the right home where he can have a strong and happy prime-career stretch. Dude is a force on the ballfield.

True, although at least the Astros stayed within striking distance for 4 innings or so, and the Braves broke the scoreless tie in the 3rd with a pretty memorable HR:

How Jorge Soler's World Series home run ball ended up at an apartment party outside the stadium

That home run was pretty epic. Shades of Albert Pujols’ moon shot HR that broke Brad Lidge in 2005.

Keith Law's Top 50 Free Agents ranking has two former Twins on it. Eduardo Escobar is #32 and Nelson Cruz is #33. No Eddie. It will definitely be interesting to see what kind of a contract he signs for next year. One-year make-good?
